Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, TES. I don't usually mind whatever the system I'm playing the games are on, whether they are console or PC, but when it comes to Bethesda games (Obsidian in the case of FNV) I always go PC for them. The mods are just too much of a selling point to NOT play them on PC.

Plus, they do seem to be more stable on PC. Or at the very least there are mods that can make the games more stable. That and miscellaneous bug fixes.

Would have liked to try out New Vegas but I have something against Steam...

That's a shame. So I take it you also missed out on Skyrim and Fallout 4? You'll probably miss out on all future Bethesda titles as a result of your dislike of Steam.

Is it just because they're digital? Because you can buy disc based copies of Skyrim and Fallout 4. I know they're essentially Steam keys on disc, but you still have something to collect. Like the TES and Fallout Anthologies Bethesda released.

Yes I have missed out on Skyrim and Fallout 4 but to be honest, Steam is only a part of it. I´m still deep within Oblivion and I also play Fallout 3 and Morrowind, not to mention my NES. I don´t have time for more games! :D

Honestly, Fallout 4 doesn´t seem to have anything that I´d really enjoy, unlike Fallout 3. When I saw that game on youtube I knew I´d love it :)

I do have Skyrim though, both the Premium Edition and as part of the Anthology. Not interested in playing it, but I have it.

Yeah, I´m weird :P

Path of Exile is the PC game that I am currently in love with. It is everything I wanted Diablo III to be that Diablo III wasn't

Oh, I'll take a look. I was very dissatisfied with Diablo 3 ^^

However as far as just games- as opposed to simulation- go, Witcher III feels like the most polished game I have ever played. It simply worked out of the box and had a high quality of...everything...all the way through. Flawless for me and that *really* helps the experience. Plus the universe it is set in just works and makes sense to itself given the parameters you're handed. It never feels contrived or that the developers tried too hard, at least to me. It's not afraid to take a chance at going over the player's head, either. Well done.

I only tried Skyrim and W3 in that list, but I agree with your comment. That game is superb. Great immersion, awesome mechanics, I just wish we could spend more time with Ciri. Ah well, maybe we'll get another game for that :)

Man that's a long list ... ah well :

Baldur's Gate 1/2
Planescape Torment

Those three along with Icewind Dale are very dear to me. Hundreds of hours of my oung, innocent life where poured into them. So many different characters, such a rich universe. I still play them from time to time, try a new race, a new class, look for mods, they are just endlessly fun [:)]

Neverwinter Nights 1/2 (online sucks)

NWN introduced me to modding. I made my first quests, items, NPCs, and in the end a complete campaign on these games. My brother loved it, and kept pestering me to do more. Awesome toolset, so many options to create unique characters and places, I recommend it to everyone. Multiplayer is also very fun [:)]

Deus Ex 2 (3 sucks, 1 is awesome)

As much as I love the first one, and as much as I miss the skill system, something about Invisible War just fascinates me. I don't know what, I just love playing this game. A few things I don't like (you can't convince your sister to stay with you instead of listening to terrorists, can't flirt, can't save JC Denton from the AI overlord ...), but it's still an amazing game

Tomb Raider 1/2/6/9/10/11

Those are my favourites, but the whole serie is great. I love that the 3 different Lara are unique. The original is more badass, maybe a tad too violent. The second one is more emotional, sometimes too much. The last one is really great. Sweet, but strong as hell and capable of mowing down her enemies like grass, and also smart. Also, she's definitely Wolverine's daughter and I'm waiting for a X-Men / Tomb Raider crossover game ^^

Fallout 1/2/Tactics/New Vegas

The one I played most is probably Tactics. And yeah, it was kinda lightweight compared to the others, just combat and not much of anything else, but it was fun, and I loved making my squad of badasses and saving the wastelands in our kickass vehicles.

Fable 1

The best of the serie. 2 was nice, 3 went to hell. The gameplay of the first one in infinitely fun, the world is very colourful and varied, the characters are very cool, I loved that our Avatar kept changing depending on how we played. Mine was mostly a white old overweight cuz I kept playing at night, used a lot of magic and kept feasting on pies XD

Pod gold

Best racing game ever. See for yourself :

Skyrim

I mean, of course. I've modded Skyrim to hell many times, had to reinstall, learned a lot. That game is just never-ending, with mods anyway. There is always more of everything. And I can't thanks the modding community enough for making it so great.

I have more but it's enough for now I guess ^^ Edited by JohanSutherland

I just bought The Elders Scrolls: Skyrim, I was playing this game when I was on Playstation 3 and I was missing this game so much. So for my favorite games, Skyrim, Counter-Strike, Battlefield 4 and 3. Look like my currents favorites games for now. :)

Been playing PC games for nearly 20 years now...

- Fallout 3

- Fallout New Vegas

- Civilization 4 and 5

- Command & Conquer (At least those included in "The First Decade" Collection)

- Earth 2150

- Sim City 4

- Portal 1 and 2

- Borderlands 2

- Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2

- The Sims 1 and 2

- Empire Earth 1

I hated steam at first because I don't play team/online games and thought it was a huge intrusive middle man. In a way that's still true but it has grown on me slowly, especially if they have a game you might like for sale.

I was on a similar boat. But my initial hatred of Steam was because I lived in a place where affordable broadband didn't exist.
