trooperdx3117 Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Hey, So I have a really stable build of Oblivion going for the last 17hrs, very few crashes, maybe occurring once every 3 to 4 hrs which is perfectly fine. Now however i've found that around Chorrol specifically Oblivion will CTD every time I go near the chestnut handy stables, or if i'm inside Chorrol and go to use the gates to exit the game will crash halfway through the loading screen. Its weird because before I was in Chorrol for a couple of hours earlier on in the game and everything was fine, now its suddenly all messed up. trooperdx3117 Posted March 30, 2016 Author Share Posted March 30, 2016 Thanks for the advice I installed UL using the omod so thats probably how I got the wrong one. I installed the correct one and it fixed some land tear issues I ws having nesr choroll but it didnt prevent the crashes unfortunately :( I decided to test see if it was affecting anywhere else so i ran from Anvil to Lewayiin going in every city along the way was perfectly fine. Got to Chorrol didn't crash at the stables, i was able to get into the city but as soon as I activated the gate to exit the game Ctd'd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However I still get very few random CTDs.The CTD happens every time you activate the door ?Did you try disabling xulChorrolHinterland.esp to see if the CTDs persist ? Yeah it appears that the CTD occurs anytime I use the gate to leave Chorrol. At the moment I can walk up and the gate to get into Chorrol, but if I try to exit or fast travel to chestnut handy stables the game will immediately crash. bevilex Posted March 31, 2016 Share Posted March 31, 2016 Maybe Oblivion runs out of memory in this area because there are a lot of things to load. I am not sure if it can help, but try to purge manually (with Oblivion Reloaded) just before activating the door or fast traveling. If the issue persists even if xulCHorrolHinterland (the better cities version) is disabled so it is probably Better Cities, or the combinaison of Better Cities and UL. trooperdx3117 Posted April 1, 2016 Author Share Posted April 1, 2016 Hey guys! So I did both your suggestions, first I typed into the console "coc center" waited 72hrs and an extra day to be sure. Then I typed "Coc chorrolexterior" into the console, spawned in front of the chorrol main gate. Then I did a manual purge with Oblivion reloaded and it worked!
