Predicted by whom?

Win XP doesn't support more than 2gb memory.

None of the Xbox series have more than 1gb of memory.

Graphics card specs are also a bit wonky, and way out of line with console hardware, even after you factor for consoles having an optimized version and lower rez graphics.

You can't have a game which uses mid-high requirements and still expect it to run on a console. It just doesn't work. Nevermind those who don't happen to have the newest, shinyest Xbox version.

Lots of games require a mid PC to play at max HD.

I would expect a 560/5850 will eat skyrim for breakfast and that is being exaggerated to either promot GFX card sales and it's a scam or the info is BS, (I hope so because I only have a 5830 and I don't like using my smaller monitor to play games.. it's old. ). Many games have a minimum of 2GB ram + a 512mb gfx card as a minimum requirement. So right there comparing the ram thing to consoles never makes sense any sense, you need 3x as much to get near equal performance..

Some games do call for 3GB though, but never for the minimum spec AFAIK.

3GB seems a little high for the minimum requirements and I suspect it is wrong as well.

Does look like that website has just pulled the system requirements out of there rear TBH, but Windows xp 32bit can register 3 or so gig, same as other 32bit OS's, windows xp 64 will register at least 4 gig and should do way higher (not personaly tried higher then 4)

The memory requirements for PC compared to the console, you cannot compare because consoles do not need to load and run the OS ect.

The only difference bettween the recomended and minimum requirements is the CPU.The recomended video card is a GTX460 and I upgraded it last month my gt 240 for a GTX560 so that´s ok, my worries are with my cpu that is a core 2 quad CPU Q6700 with 2.67 ghz.

Isn´t the recomended settings a bit too much?I know they are just speculations.

While true in some regards... not really.

A PC port for a console game only needs that extra bit of ram and processor power to run the OS in background, things like Graphics are entirely devoted to a game when that gave is played fullscreen. To have system requirements so far in excess of what either Xbox or PS3 currently have, far beyond what demands the OS would use up, suggests little more than a random guess as to system requirements based on what they see from preview trailers.

The fact that the comments for that page respond to most queries about "will it run" with an "on high" answer when some of the specs quoted are at or below the "recommended" range kinda proves the point that the estimates are almost certainly higher than actual.

The requirements there seem to have been posted in January, which only makes you wonder what their "source" is. Other than that, seems like just some unofficial blog.
