niphilim222
I bought a retron 5 for snes games, Not 100% but works none the less. I loved the snes so much i still have my cartridges. And some very rare ones to. https://www.amazon.ca/Hyperkin-RetroN-Retro-Gaming-System/dp/B00DZIX394/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1459815013&sr=8-2&keywords=retron+
Mirocu
That´s cool, but I would suggest getting an original SNES too if you have the money. They´re not expensive and I think you´d find it nice to have one sitting there as well as the Retron :)
Mirocu
Today I got the correct version of Dr Mario in the box. It didn´t come with the manual and sleeve but I already got that so I put it all together and finally I have a complete Dr Mario again!Had it as a child but since I was a bit stupid in the face I got rid of it. As I did with more games. Bah.I also have the Murican version and as I have the 10NES chip disabled it works on my machine but at a much slower rate (audio-wise). So much fun to play it again with the music at the correct pace :)
Mirocu
Currently been playing a lot of Bubble Bobble. Great game, nice music and overall lots of fun. Some levels are a pain though, like level 30 and level 57 which I cannot beat. I have at times gotten the umbrella though and skipped past it so I have seen level 60 I think it was. I play using a turbo controller since I like holding the button and spew out bubbles automatically and it of course is even more fun with the green candy! Never owned this game as a kid but I did borrow it. Nice to have it again complete in box :)

Mirocu
Never played that system myself. What games did you like on it?

The system has been off the shelves for at least 20 years  I still have my NES but it looks terrible on an HDTV, I really need to get a CRT but we're pushed for space. The one I had most fun with was the N64, 2D was getting old towards the end of the SNES's life and the Super FX chips had given us a taste of 3D, the N64 provided that. I personally never liked the N64. It´s something about the early days of 3D models and controls. I wanted a SNES as a kid but couldn´t get one and now I have no interest in it, I just want what I had back then  The SNES has some fantastic titles, it's worth getting for the original Mario Kart alone. That´s cool, but I would suggest getting an original SNES too if you have the money. They´re not expensive and I think you´d find it nice to have one sitting there as well as the Retron  I think you really need a CRT with that, the Retron 5 is the better option for HDTVs, that or an expensive upscaler. I don't think you necessarily need a CRT screen, but rather something with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Can you tweak your HDTV (Likely 16:9) to output a 4:3 display? Mirocu
Am I an old fart for only having had a CRT ever?
