Anyone could recommend some good 3ds max tutorial?

Skin is rather easy to use. I never did a tutorial on it. I did however watch an autodesk demo where it was used. which wtill exists on their website afaik, if you are interested you want to be looking at features of max 8....

 

My only suggestion is to use the weight tool crap loads. import animations to test the weights, and get ninja with skin utilities.

Don't weight skin by hand i's too tedious you might aswell have downloaded blender.

  1. load in existing item that's similar to your clothing
  2. click your clothing and add a skin wrap modifier
  3. make sure you check weight all points
  4. click convert to skin
  5. export as usual and test it out in game
  6. make corrections by hand.
