No Grenade Bounce?

Recommended Posts

Is there an option somewhere to not have a grenade bounce when it collides with something? Like if i threw a grenade at one spot at a wall, i would want it to just drop right there without bouncing. Is this possible in the Geck at all? Maybe somehow a ton of weight to it or something? I've tried altering the bouncy mult into the negative number and adding mass, but nothing seems to stop it. Would appreciate any advice about this. Edited by sniperwolfmgs2000

It doesn't seem worth the trouble to even go this far with it. Go play Brink the grenades do what you are talking about an it sucks, it's doom 3 stuff, busch league sega stuff. Add nails to the mesh an make it like a rail spike projectile. You could also make it explode on contact. Have you looked at the less bouncy grenades mods?

I think it's called restitution in the engine, where are we at, oh New Vegas. Some of those engine settings don't even work anymore in FNV.

restitution is elasticity. It won't stick if you zero this parameter out. Though it does make things bouncy, it'll still rebound off of things regardless of what you do with this setting... it just has a effect of how much boingyness in the rebound..

It's a physics question. One that isn't worth exploring. On one hand you have limited global control of physics thru game settings. On the other hand you have local havok data that is touch an go at best, often resulting in a large amount of wasted time on now corupted data that crashes the game if you even look at it. The amount of time you would waste on that you could have done something fun, that is if you could wrap your head around physics that are basicly you throw something, it bounces. Simple enough right? You have got to pick your battles man.

What about Skill, does skill or any of the special stats, change the way that a frag is handled physics wise?

I nevah played TES, I just read about it in magazines before I had a computer. I was like, whoa... I bet I would have more than 3 friends if I played TES, they the cool kids, FNV/FO3 is just a bunch of wastelanders. Hang out with the kings an queens, son, cheah an git me some gold an jewels. LOOT I SAY!

last thing I was working on was a dark gunmetal metal & wood handle mix pistol an engraved nickel. One I got tired of the UV at the very end, an the other turned out to be a bloom fest, so I deleted it. Now it's the .357 New Vegas pistol but change the mesh so it's more of a short .50 in those textures maybe.

Actually the last thing I made was a joke picture for someone that totally didn't get the joke an thought I was making fun of them, whoopz. So without further yada ...

TADA! How to make awesome fallout 3 armors.
