FNV - Dueling

It always struck me that in FNV it was western themed yet lacked quite a few things... Horses for one, but that's not what this is about, Mainly what I mean here is that they make the game very cowboy-ish and even give you some cowboy guns, but still theres no dueling, like in the old west days when you could challenge someone to a duel. So this request is for just such a mod that allows you to request a duel from someone (who knows maybe some NPCs can even have a speech check for dueling?)

Hmm yeah high noon gunfights I guess could be interesting, it's a wonder it's not in a quest or DLC, I guess someone could make a mod to have a list of gunfighters to find & fight.

It would be easy to make just a few people who can duel (if you just want normal combat) but specific controls for it (e.g. disabled movement) would be more difficult.

On the other hand, a topic in conversation for a duel, but the same above would apply.

 

Alternatively...

 

You can do the little arena matches in Caesar's Fort, although there are only 3 matches (4 if you decide to kill benny that way) and only using machetes. You could also go to the thorn, but (I think) you can only battle creatures.

I guess it could be done, maybe as part of a string of duels in the form of quests IE: some end with them running away, some end with their death in the duel.

 

Also the reason for the quest structure is because I think you can make a script that stops the NPC from moving,

 

another way to do it might be that when duel starts you go into VATS to do the dueling, but the chance randomizes.
