Tychi101
This is my first post, so hopefully this is clear enough. It would be nice if you could manage all settlers from one menu. I'd like to see things like, 1) Can give them names and titles are added after for their job. (i.e. John Smith [Farmer] or Jane Doe [Guard])2) Moving them to different settlements without going to find them. (e.g. I can be in Sanctuary and move someone from Red Rocket to the Castle from the menu.)3) Assign jobs from the menu, and see what jobs are available or taken4) Auto assign equipment based on the assigned task. (e.g. Guards get a combat rifle, full combat armor, military hat, and road leathers, 1 .45 bullets, while farmers get a 10 mm pistol, full leather armor, and road leathers) - may need separate container to store equipment to pull from. Any feedback or additional ideas would be more than welcome. Thanks.
JarinArenos
Might lock auto-management behind material (build terminal) or talent (local leader). Especially if settlement overhaul mod moves supply lines lower in the charisma tree or makes them baseline.
seekingthesun
1. is already available as a settler mod "rename settlers"2. that's just pointless and would take hours of coding3. see what jobs are available is already part of an official update. You can use the workshopbell to gather settlers. 4. is impossible but you can approximate it with the "better settlers" mod
Jeffman12
2. that's just pointless and would take hours of coding 4. is impossible but you can approximate it with the "better settlers" mod 2. Opinion is irrelevant. That's up to whoever might decide to do it.4. Nonsense. If a similar effect can be done through modding, or by hand, as both are the case, it can be further automated. Since I first started playing, I've wanted to be able to set up an armory station to provide my town guards with standardized gear and weapons. How I imagine it could work:1. Set up an armory bench (Allows the user to designate which armor and weapon items are used by guards if available)2. Set up a stockpile container. (Drop base items in to have them converted to the standard format by an NPC working the armory bench) They interact as follows: The player may designate, for the sake of the example, a tactical bayonetted pipe assault rifle as the desired standard. The player then drops all the extra pipe pistols and rifles they have into the stockpile. If an NPC is assigned to the linked bench(es), they remove the items from the stockpile and replace them later with the desired modifications.Guards will then take the items that match the finished product description out of the stockpile and equip them. To prevent players from exploiting this to get, say, the best armor mods, before they can craft them, we'll just say it's limited by the player's crafting skills. Rather than handing each individual character some stimpacks assuming they lack any, having a med store should automatically provide 1 to 2 stimpacks to each settler (Thus dragging fights out a little more immersively before they stumble around to regen HP.)
