MichaelEpic
Hi there....I'm back once again. Hopefully I can make a thread this time that doesn't get locked...I was in over my head last time, unfortunately. Imagine how silly I felt when my thread got locked immediately lol So based solely and completely on PC, are these type mods possible? Could modders build a new land mass?Could modders create totally new NPC's and voice them?Could modders create new buildings in places there are no buildings?Could modders extend the life of Fallout 4 indefinitely? I'm totally n00b to this idea of modding video games...but with fadingsignal's most impressive works, I'm curious what all is possible. If any modder has time or any modding fan who knows more than I do had time to answer these questions, that would be awesome and I'd appreciate it. Thank you! I saw basement living and campsite from fadingsignal and I'm literally blown away by it. I mean seriously impressed and I just want to know what other things might be possible. Fenryr3001
It's made with the GECK,which basically is a modified version of the tool the devs used to make the game.In every Fallout game since 3 and every TES game since Morrowind you can mod like this, but FO4 could turn out a bit different. The GECK hasn't released yet, which is part of the reason that no quest mods are out (and it takes a lot of time),so no one is quite sure how it'll turn out.The voiced protagonist is a huge hurdle in the development of quest mods, and the Perk chart makes it a lot harder for Perk Overhauls. A lot of things can be done.Take Frostfall for Skyrim as an example. It adds an entire camping and hypothermia system, and there are a lot of mods which make you need to eat, drink and sleep. There even are some mods that enhance the combat system as well.Dodging, timed blocking for example. MichaelEpic
he GECK hasn't released yet, which is part of the reason that no quest mods are out (and it takes a lot of time),so no one is quite sure how it'll turn out. Is that the creation kit thing they're talking about at the moment that just went into beta? I've always been curious what will come from that...and if I could personally make things for the game myself. Being such a n00b I doubt I'd come up with anything really cool but I'd like to start on small things like perhaps carry weight magazines like every magazine you find gives +5lbs to carry weight and maybe have 10 of those or so. Just small stuff like that to simultaneously enhance a game aspect and give more decoration items of magazines and what not
Meisenbach
Yep, yep, yep, and yep. I've seen all of this done in Skyrim.
Fenryr3001
It's just that. Changing item stats is the easiest thing to do.You just open the GECK,load the plugins (and the main game,of course) navigate to the items tab,and then search for the item on the list.
