Aeradom
Next up for Mod Debate is one that I really need help on as there is one that is clearly my favorite, but I don't think I can really use in my game sadly, unless someone knows of a patch. Extended weapon mods by Akhanami Any Mod Any Weapon by LucasGod As I said, the moment I saw those two mods, it was clear which one I have a preference towards. Now, you have to understand that I'm more for realism and immersion then I am for just balls to the wall sort of fun. Thus, when I originally saw the "Any Mod Any Weapon" mod, I was immediately turned off. Sure firing an assault rifle that using homing mirv fatman warheads sounds nuts and hilarious, but just not for me. However, I immediately fell into love with the Extended Weapon Mods. I'm a gun nut in real life, and the idea of being able to craft and augment these guys to look different and having that flexibility, I just LOVED it! So much so that I originally wasn't going to do this one. Then I started doing more research and I suddenly became less sure. For one thing, Extended Weapons hasn't been updated since the end of January. Now, for some mods this isn't such a bad thing, especially the ones that rely on just Vanilla assets. But I recently ran into another mod that realized that in fact, there are new assets created for this mod (that mod author had to apologize on his description as he used those assets and didn't know they were unique). So there are cropping up incompatibility issues that will only get worse as new mods and official content is released. And it's for those reasons I'm not considering Any Mod Any Weapon, more out of the default. Optimally though, I wish someone would take up the reigns on EW just to keep it up to date, maybe not even create new assets. So back to the point of this post, of course I want to know which one you prefer and why as usual. But more importantly, if you think EW can still be used if it's not going to be updated any time soon.
noahdvs
You can't just compare the two. Any Mod Any Weapon is supposed to be kind of silly while Extended weapon mods isn't. Eextended weapon mods can still be used, but I don't like it that much. I'm using cut weapon mods right now and a bunch of mod weapons such as the m1911 and the modular kalash. It's not actually that hard to make Any Mod Any Weapon compatible with other mods yourself, but it can be a bit tedious. The mod is actually pretty simple. When you edit the weapon records, you just put every mod in the game in the section that says what weapon modules a weapon can use. Once you get it done for one weapon, you can copy it to every other weapon. Edited April 16, 2016 by noahdvs

Though I can certainly understand how some people would favor one for an entirely different reason then say the other. I think what I'm really wanting to know is if I can achieve something similar with Any Mod Any Weapon that I would get with Extended Weapon Mods. That being the more realistic approach. noahdvs
Extended weapon mods includes non-vanilla mods, so not really. You could always try to make them both work together though. Edited April 16, 2016 by noahdvs
