Why are my distant buildings/ruins changing colors

OK, I have another issue that I have always had. Distant architecture appears orange or red as though it's dawn or dusk. Not sure but I think it only happens in the morning and evening but well after the sky turns from orange. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. If I change my viewing angle it will switch from yellow to orange to red. Is there anything that can be done about this or does it happen to everyone?

Well, it seems to be happening during all daylight hours, not just near dawn or dusk. It also appears to be the LOD that is affected not the full models.

Any ideas? Is anyone else experiencing this?

If you are running HDR, or Bloom, Switch to the other one, and see if the problem goes away.

 

I turned off HDR and the problem is still there. Haven't tried with bloom, but if it's there without HDR, I don't think turning on bloom will make it go away. I take it no one else is having this issue?

Still have not found the cause of this. Although RAEVWD may have something to do with it. I would really like to hear whether or not anyone else is having this issue. Even if you don't have a solution. If you have never seen this, let me know that too.

Thanks Tom, I guess you are having the problem also? I believe I have solved it. Or rather Arthmoor did. I just checked and there is a newer version of RAEVWD and it even mentions the issue in the readme. The newer version 1.92 fixes it. It was related to specular data in the meshes. Anyway, I installed it and it seems fine now. Here's a link to the new version.

I have the latest version installed. RAEVWD isn't the only mod that adds _Far.NIF files. I think my problem may be part of Better Cities. I don't know. Furthermore, those aren't just my problems. Some of them I've never hed (although I havehad that particular problem in the past.) I just collect problems and solutions I run across or help with and record them by creating a page for them on that site, ha-ha.

 

It's nice to hear that your set is looking good again though. ^___^
