Every once in a while, I explain how things have come to be and this was just one of those times. I thought it was time to run through some of that information. As for the tutorials on the NifTools page, most are far outdated, somewhat sparse and need to be re-created using current software. They were invaluable for the time when they were created though. Examples: Split Oblivion Meshes --> Split Oblivion MeshesBlender Collision --> Weapon collision / Convex collisionBlender Helmet --> Custom helmets Back when I created most of my tutorials, I was posting them in places that used BBCode and as such, I kinda stuck to that format. I should have learned wiki code back then and added them directly to the NifTools pages. Now that I think about it, that is probably something I'll be adding to my to-do list.
