Deleted11727343User
And to Rusty, my good man. Here the blank for you: "I'm looking to add weapons to fallout 4, a pack of pistols and rifles. I want to know if there are any tutorials out there that go through the process start to finish, much like Brain Poof with the armor/ clothing videos?" The first response: "Google is a thing". RustyXXL
Well, I did answer how I started modding, and that counts for every game I modded. I looked at the Vanilla things that are similar to what I want, then I look at already existing mods that do what I want, then I try to do an exact copy, then I start modifying that copy step by step. I never use tutorials, because tutorials are boring. If you want to skip the experience of figuring things yourself use google, if google doesn't find anything, well bad luck, but not my problem. Again, if you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge, but the only thing more boring than watching tutorials is writing tutorials. And recording while doing often isn't an option either. As I said, I often sit hours on a problem until I figure it out, and then even more hours on improving my solution. You really don't want to watch that, and it would be more confusing than anything else. Or do you really believe that other modders just shake their mods out of their arm? Hitlerecka
Perhaps you don´t know what I´m going to ask, or the effort done, don´t generalize mister. You know what. We all do generalize, just some are more open about it than others. It's just how the brain processes things. Generalize everything, so you don't have to keep as much as memories. But that's besides the point. I gave you tipps on how to increase your chances to get actual answers. Use them or don't, I really don't give a thing about it...because you know what? I can figure out the stuff I want to do and am not the one stuck with nothing. Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm also the one who usually gets his answers, on the rare occasion I have to ask because I can't figure it out. Very well Mr teacher, you ´re no one to say anyone how to aks a question Edited April 26, 2016 by Hitlerecka

[/size] The first response: "Google is a thing". Yeah, because that question doesn't show a single bit of effort on your side, and can be answered by google. If google doesn't find any answers to your question if there are tutorials out there, than your answer is probably no. There is no need for an experienced modder to answer that again. Now if you ask "I tried to add a new weapon. I copied the assault rifle as a template, because it is the closest thing to my weapon that I want to add. Then I changed the Model to my own model I modded via nifskope, but when I tried it ingame I got a CTD. I then tried to replace the vanilla Assault rifle nif with my own nif, and this didn't ctd, so I'm think it wouldn't be the nif itself." I don't want to go on, but I'm sure you can see the difference already. My version shows what you have tried and what your specific problem might be, and also what you tried yourself to solve the problem, instead of asking a general question that can be easily answered by google. Very well Mr teacher, you ´re no one to say anyone how to aks a question I'm not telling you how to ask a question, you can do as you like. I'm just trying to give you tipps to make it more likely that you et answers that actually help you. As I said. Use it or not, I really don't care, and quite honestly this attitude of putting me as the enemy here is getting tiresome, so don't expect any more help from me. Deleted11727343User
That's not my point, why do we need to aim our question? I think my point was very well clear to begin with, was it not? I do not know how much more you want me to specify my question, I don't think NASA has that approach. "Excuse me, we want to go to space....Well sure, but you'll need to be more specific." I don't see why when we ask a very simple question we get stupid comments that do not help in any way shape or form. I simply want to know the process of adding in new weapons to the game, steps, even if they're not explained in depth, just simple points with a brief description to get us started. I really don't see why people are so eager to say its boring, so what, going to school was boring you still did it and it's not like it's a few years worth of a commitment either. Simply an hour, to explain the basic points. Really, I've done for tons of people who needed help, and trust me, the ArmA community is not to tangled with in terms of people needing help. But at least they post video tutorials. for example my friend Burnes. Edited April 26, 2016 by Guest

Hitlerecka
I have precise questions mister, not asking about a full tutorial, and yes, I know how to ask them.

This is fantastic, how do you even get here? because I don't have any clue on how to get my weapons into game, or how to use an in game weapon as a base to see if it works, so like I asked 4 millenia ago. How do I do all of this? because I'm pretty sure, really sure that Fallout 4 is very different to other games such as a New Vegas, which doesn't have customization and crafting as an aspect.
