NorthWolf
Not content to kill only itself constantly, Fallout: New Vegas has branched out its malevolent fist and started bludgeoning my poor Firefox half the time it crashes. I'm not sure if this is a common problem with Firefox or certain drivers, but it causes the pixels of Firefox's display (and only Firefox's display) to change to random colors in random parts of the screen. Restarting Firefox does nothing to fix this. I've never seen Firefox do this before and it only does this when NV crashes, so I'm guessing it's related to NV and not Firefox. Am I mistaken? Is anyone else experiencing this? Edited July 7, 2011 by NorthWolf
ccmechanic2
your not mistaking. cff explorer the fire fox exe, note down or print out the dependent tree, compare the same data to the NV executable and you will see what is shared on the OS. If you see a red (x) in either tree of either file, you have found it already. IF not, Task manager resource monitor, tick the FNVese to filter by , leave it running and launch the game. as longe as the task man has a hold of the file, all things can be tracked. you will see what is shared. Now, alt tab out of the game, while it is idke, launch fire fox, if you see the issue happening, you can now see which file is shared between the two programs in the resource tree. Let me know if you find this animal, good data and a place of interest to me.

nosisab
Man, honestly, you should not play and navigate at same time. More yet in these times of stuffy stuff cluttering the Internet more than actual useful things. Most games don't like graphics being processed in the background together with them. Let alone Fallout engine already has it's fair share of crashes by itself. Edited July 7, 2011 by nosisab
NorthWolf
I don't play and navigate at the same time, which is why this bothers me so much. It's specific to Firefox but it doesn't matter if Firefox is running or not. Firefox gets permanently messed up after this happens, until the next reboot. If I need to navigate I do it through Steam to avoid crashes from ALT+TAB. Edited July 7, 2011 by NorthWolf
ccmechanic2
I am monitoring the fiasco taking place all over the world, I have two monitors and systems up and many pages loaded, you will not believe the caos going on every where. I can't even work until things settle down. I have posted important information on my thread to look at but all comment go on the comment section. At least until the fires go out.
