BGE
In Daggerfall, you start the game out in Privateer's Hold after your ship crashes on it's way to High Rock. I think an alternate start for Oblivion with something similar to this would be great. There's actually a ship wreck on the eastern coast of Cyrodiil north of Anvil, right near an Ayleid ruin called "Beldasomething." Setting the player's start position right in the water or on the small island near the ship wreck would be simple. In fact, I'd do it myself if someone gave me the know how. Anyway, just an idea. I think modifying one of the already existing alternate start mods would make this an even simpler process.
Christensen
As far as i know there are two mods like that. I've tried one; A New Begininng, which was okay, and I saw one that was a little more complicated.
Sisp
How would you be able to get the main quest with a new beginning like that unless you somehow linked it to Uriel Septim?
edtrooper
i think it can be do. you can link it with something like uriel had a dream to meet you there and you just have wake up by him becouse you had a black out because of the crash of the ship of something like that. i'd love that someone do that. InfiniteRealm
One alternate start makes it so that if you commit a crime and hand yourself in to a captain of the IC guard, it triggers the main questline (without tutorial) and dumps you in the cells across from Dreth
