Heartcloud
I was wondering if there is a mod, or console command, that deletes stuff thrown on the floor (if it's a mod let's say deletes things after X days before left on the floor, excluding corpses since I sometimes resurrect them for fun)? I was cleaning out inventory one day and threw like several hundred items onto the floor, and now it's making a mess in town. I suppose I could pick all of them up and sell them but that's gonna take forever to pick all of them up again, organize them, and sell them one by one. Thanks. Deleted839720User
unfortunatly there is not a mod i know of yet um alternitvly what you could do is just stash them in a cupboard or something like i do or a draw in a random house or chest in a cave just somewhere out of the way lol as i know what its like to drop loads of stuff on the ground but a mod for cleaning up dropped items is a good idea though
Tomlong54210
Open the console (with the tilde (~)) key, click on the item in question, and enter 'disable'. --Tomlong54210
nosisab
I'm not sure but I think those "garbage bin" or something like this, from COBL and which are bought from several merchants, do exactly this "byebye item" thing.
Tomlong54210
Yeah, it looks like COBL might have something like that. There's also this recycle bin mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6760 However, if you're not in a house and don't have a garbage bin on hand, the console command always works, ha-ha... --Tomlong54210
Heartcloud
Thanks the console command worked.
wetblanket
I'm a bit late with this by the sound of it but Kuertee's Clean up will automatically remove such items.
nosisab
Nice find, wet blancket, it sounds like the "remove bloat" function from Wrye bash but limited to the cell. Anyway I seen never learn to not answer posts just before going to bed (when I'm not seeing anything anymore :) ) ... to the OP purposes the console command is just what he needed. Well, each solution has it's own merits and useability depending on the situation, the recycle bean to reducing chances of bloating ever happening, the console for specific cases and the bloat removing for those cases where it became too much. PS: Anyway I rather not making this process automatic. As one example where it would be BAD. A difficult fight with high skilled foe(s) you get disarmed ... once the battle ends and you try to recover your beloved weapon... it's no more. kuertee
Thanks, wetblanket! My Clean Up mod will do nicely for this purpose. It only removes the items IF you leave them alone. And my mod has a recovery feature for items that have been removed by it.Also, my mod's "clean dead actors" feature can be turned off in its INI file.
