Creation Kit Always Crashes

does anyone know if Bethesda will fix this?

Considering it is a beta, I think this is kind of the point... The only reason beta tests actually exist.

Does anyone on the Nexus know issue by issue what Bethesda is working on? What kind of question is that? I don't think anyone has set up 24/7 surveillance of their game studio to track things that specific yet...

Right- because all software out of 'beta' is bug free - the NONSENSE I read here. The people rightfully complaining about INEXPLICABLE bugs in the CK are aware that by Beth's own admission, the same tools were used to create Fallout 4- and this seems to make no sense.

Beta testing is NEVER to discover obvious front-line bugs - they were supposed to be dealt with long before beta. Beta is when you think the code is pretty much done, but know real users will discover things a fairly rigourous testing process missed.

There for sure is a bug going on then in regards to modifiers. I've left the program to run when it freezes and it actually just ends up crashing.

I might try running the 32 bit version for modifier changes and see if that helps.

find it odd that were faced with an immediate bug within only 1 day of use. What was the point of the BETA testing team? Was it just a bunch of inexperienced youth in the end?

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I have tried everything and have not managed to edit a single modifier in the CK without a crash. I've tried running it in admin mode. Running it in compatability mode for windows 8 and 7, reinstalling it on a different hard drive, running the 32 bit version, ect. Nothing.

Why is it that every time I go to a thread, you're here being no help at all and putting members of the community down when they ask for help? Seriously, go away. We don't need your kind here.

So I had a similar problem. Every time I clicked on a property modifier or other tables, CK immediately crashes! After "some time" on google I found this out.

---->If your using a drawing tablet or something similar, disconnect it. Such a simple thing made the CK completely useless to me and apparently others.

I found this out from smkie in the bethesda community here https://community.bethesda.net/thread/65191?start=0&tstart=0

Hope this helped for you too.

Having the same problem, has nothing to do with tablets or language settings. Windows 10 tried everything other than safe-mode running as admin because it won't even pretend to load in safe mode due to the audio not initializing. I was just trying to run data models on how different classes perform at high levels ( lv 250+) rather than mod as the process of quest creation has my mind a bit boggled. The only bit I have learned on my own project is be thankful raiders don't scale otherwise you'd be fighting Cait-like enemies and she's one of the few companions I never really have to babysit. Sadly, I don't think an answer to how to fix this problem is forthcoming I just wanted to give the input of even with Win 10 this bug is quite active.

I should add that I was running Windows 7 when I had this issue and do have drawing tablet drivers installed. I have no idea if the tablet issue is related as some have mentioned above.

I've not tested if the modifier issue was solved in the latest CK update.
