Completely messed up my oblivion.exe

I was playing with wyre bash today and now the game refuses to run. I disabled all my mods and yet it still refuse to run. I tried the .ini file trick but no luck.

 

Any advices?

My advice is to be more specific. Give explicit details on what you did, and what you mean by 'the ini file trick'.

You could try the autopatcher found here.

 

You can use it to get your original executable from the DVD without having to uninstall and reinstall.

 

You'll of course need to reinstall any other patches or updates you had once you do this.

I don't know how you can conclude from that that your broke your game. When you disabled all of your mods, did you actually uninstall all of them? Deactivating plugins is not enough if you have installed things that replace the vanilla files. What did you change before you were unable to run the game? Is the game crashing immediately? Is there an error message?

Well, I reinstalled the game. I still have the mods under correct folder locations in data folder, but every time I try to load, my game crashes.

Also, are you using any UI mods, OBSE plugins or mods that depend on OBSE? Where is your game installed?
