OBMM error on exit

Everytime I close Oblivion Mod Manager, I get the error: "Access to the path 'P2' id denied"

This is the crashdump:

Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - 6:46:50 PM
1.1.12 (Safe mode)
OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1

Type: System.IO.IOException
Error message: Access to the path 'P2' is denied.
Stack trace: at System.IO.Directory.DeleteHelper(String fullPath, String userPath, Boolean recursive)
  at System.IO.Directory.Delete(String fullPath, String userPath, Boolean recursive)
  at System.IO.DirectoryInfo.Delete()
  at OblivionModManager.MainForm.TidyDataFolder()
  at OblivionModManager.MainForm.MainForm_FormClosing(Object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e)
  at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnFormClosing(FormClosingEventArgs e)
  at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmClose(Message& m)
  at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m)
  at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
  at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
  at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

Because I cant close the program, I have to end the process through the task manager, and the next time I open OBMM, I need to activate all the mods again.

I have OBMM version 1.1.12 and have tried running it in compatability mode for windows vista service pack 2, and checked off run as administrator. I have windows 7 x64

This is a UAC-related issue. Just use one of the solutions listed here: http://tescosi.com/wiki/PCS:Black_screen_CTD_before_Oblivion_fully_launches

Forget about the compatibility mode thing. Switching to Windows Vista doesn't change the situation at all anyway. You don't need compatibility mod to run Oblivion.

I disabled UAC months ago by setting it to "never notify" using the same method found here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/

I know that is not your problem, but you can use those solutions to, for example, disable the UAC on the folder to which Oblivion (and therefore OBMM) has been installed. You can also turn off the UAC entirely. Just type "User Account Control" into that Start search, and you should see it.

Have you already tried right-clicking on OBMM.exe and using 'Run as administrator'?

Edit: I have a PCS for OBMM here - http://tescosi.com/wiki/PCS:OBMM_does_not_run

but, really, I need to add the one for the access denied errors as well.

I don't mean to sound rude or anything but I have already stated that I checked off run as administrator, and I also replied that I had disabled UAC (I edited the reply 3-4 times, not sure if you seen the last edit before you responded)

The only solutions I can find are related to the UAC, but I have it disabled so I'm not sure why I'm getting the access is denied error.

I really do appreciate your support.

This happens every time you run OBMM? I wonder if this is documented somewhere. Do you have .Net 2.0 installed? OBMM depends on it. I wonder if that's already standard installed on Windows 7 though...geez. Have you tried reinstalling OBMM? You don't have to lose everything. Your OMODs won't be removed during uninstallation. Export your active OMOD list (via Export/import > Export Active OMOD List) before uninstalling it. Then, install OBMM again and import that OMOD list you exported previously to restore OBMM to its last known state.

Edit: It really sounds like a UAC thing. Maybe it didn't install properly. When you run the installer, right-click and use 'Run as administrator', even though you have UAC off. I don't get why that interference would still exist though...

It happens everytime I run OBMM. I just checked my Installed Programs list and didn't see .net Framework 2.0 in the list, but I do have it installed (I tried to install it and was told that it was already installed as part of the OS), as well.net Framework 4 Client Profile and 4 Extended. This problem didn't always occur also, so I don't think the .net framework is an issue.

Yes, I have tried reinstalling OBMM, and backed up my mods directory just in case. I also uninstalled everything with relevance to Oblivion and will be reinstalling it shortly.

Verify if that path "P2" is available to you (certify you can read/write it); if installed the game in C:\Program Files (x86) or any other Windows specially protected folder, next time you'll remember to avoid doing so, create a folder, lets say C:\Games and install all games there.

Actually if the game is installed at C:\Program Files (x86), is strongly advised to completely uninstall it and install in an user created folder, as said above.

I'm not sure where P2 even is. The problem was avoided installing to the default directory. I just had to completely reinstall oblivion and obmm
