ghraki
And you are right, you don't need it. I've been exclusively using nmm with no issues. (Though I have had to get used to making sure that my mods are all still enabled before I hit the play button.) Brandon007
Then don't use it then. Theres no need to disable it at all. Console users will have to use it though if they want mods....
SyphonX
There needs to be a way to disable it. It is already causing me problems like overriding my load order or disabling my mods. The Beth.net main menu mod is made for consoles (huge UI, cumbersome to navigate, limited options, can't adjust load order) and is not conducive to PC. Reneer
Bethesda.net is literally part of the Fallout 4 executable (Fallout4.exe). There is no way to disable it unless you want to try and hack the EXE itself using Assembly. Of course, you could also try and delete / remove certain files that the in-game mod manager relies upon, but that is likely just asking for problems. skubblebubble
They are going to change things so you don't have to login to beth to access local mods (on pc anyway) Once all this beta stuff is done, it should no longer interfere with NMM/MO etc.(until they make an oops again, and move the ini files like they did in one patch. that was a bug) You won't be able to remove it from the game though, that part is built into the game, and happens before any modsare done. It would have to be a complete program hack, which would be bad.
crawe1x
And you are right, you don't need it. I've been exclusively using nmm with no issues. (Though I have had to get used to making sure that my mods are all still enabled before I hit the play button.) This is also my experience. The first couple of days were a pain. But now things seemed to have settled down. I just double-check everything is enabled in NMM (they usually are), and other than that it's fine. Even adding, deleting, and reinstalling mods isn't too much of a problem any more. I'd prefer it if Beth.net/mod menu wasn't there, but now I'm getting used to it and how it works, it's something I can live with.
Obituary
Yes! Get rid of it. The stupid thing disables some mods even if I enable them over and over. In NMM, in-game, "load order has changed, need restart." And then just quiting instead of restarting only to find out the same mods are still disabled. I'm getting really annoyed by this crap. The in-game mod menu also keeps telling something is downloading while clearly there isn't. Why add something (and implement it poorly) that's already there?
