Patch 1.3

Recommended Posts

Hi folks for those for which might not be aware of it they are currently working on the 1.3 patch which will hopefully be released soon. You can check out all the changes here:

A couple of things for which really caught my eye is the fact of a new free DLC entitled "A Sackful of Fluff" which happens in Chapter 2 of the game. Said to be a rewarding quest.

Another thing that I noticed for all of us that wanted storage in the game we'll have it. Just like in TW1 we will be able to store and retrieve things with inn keepers.

Support of 4:3, 5:4, 16:10 aspect ratios

These are just a few of the great things with this next patch. There are a total of around 45 changes with this patch. Click on the link above to read about them all.

CDRed is comming through for their fans again. And BW's DA2 we are still waiting for a patch and nothing has come to light as of yet. They've not even put out a decent DLC.

Good news all round, hats off to CDR.

I couldn't agree with you more. The things they are correcting are things that are very much needed to be fixed like the "Scent of Incense" quest wich I completed and showed that I completed it up until I fought the Kingslayer the first time. Also a place to store things and many of the others on the list I'll have to admit are over due. Hope that they are able to release it real soon.

Not to mention the aspect rations and nerf to Quen.

Hats off to CD Projekt, but I'm getting a bit frustrated with Steam. 12GB download. 8 hours so far, at least 5 more to go. I really hope it works after this.

(Dunno how much I'm to blame. I thought I'd got rid of all mods first, but I'm wondering if I missed one, as most people are getting 9GB downloads if the first one didn't work).

Ah well, at least it's giving me the opportunity to renew my old friendship with Witcher 1. I'll probably get a full playthrough done before this download finishes.

So far I have not had any issues with the new patch. I am real happy that we can now get screen shots without the UI. As far as any mods not being compatible, no problems yet, but I am only using two mods. The Inn Keeper storage does work, but I had to look. I am in chapter One (Flotsom), I went to the guy behind the bar at the Inn and that didn't work, even tried the gal running around. I went downstairs at the Inn and talked to the guy behind the bar there and I found the extra storage option with him. You just have to look.

Aspect ratio? I don't see the options for that, so have no clue. I'm running a 28 inch wide screen and everything looks fine to me, but I don't see those other options anywhere. Not a big concern to me anyway. But, the game seems to run more smoothly oddly enough. I'm set at 1920 X 1200 and I'm happy with that.

I have not found the new DLC, but will keep looking as I progress through the game, I guess the new DLC is in chapter 2.

I'd like to say 'Thanks' to the CD Projekt team, good job.
