kwintin
So I've been playing fallout since launch, after a while I downloaded a couple of mods, it was pretty fun until the game started to crash to desktop when clicking the play button. I couldn't find a fix for this so I just decided to stop playing for a while. I wanted to wait for an update to see if that fixed anything. Sure enough an update came adding a whole new mods tab. None of them were the same as my old mods so I decided to turn to the nexus for my modding cocaine. But for some reason none of the mods I downloaded worked, nothing I did could fix it. I updated the nexus launcher, I pretty much deleted and reinstalled every mod more times than I could count, I did the whole Fallout4custom.ini thing, nothing I did worked, I've been cut off from my cocaine, and I'm suffering from withdrawal. Can anyone help?
Jakalakin7
Having same issues, enabling mods through the main in-game mod menu fixed some mods, but all my non-plugin mods (ammo retextures, etc.) aren't working.
deadlotus
I have 216 active mods, I think the issue stems from this issue https://forums.nexus...ated-mod-files/ If we don't know a mod has been updated for the 1.5 FO4 update, then we would experience a CTD, correct? I just noticed it today when I checked some mods that people say to update or check and there was an update but no notification in NMM.
AtmaDarkwolf
I am unsure if this is the real issue(it may be 'one' of the causes) because many have done things to 'get it to work' that still have not worked for me. Right now, any mod thats NOT 'downloaded' via the ingame mod menu(Side note: Please someone make a mod to disable the bloody mod menu item ingame) starts an infinate 'loading' animation yet never actually loads. I got a few mods(the sanctuary bridge, and the ballistic weave mods) via the Bethesda.net mods and they work/load, but any and all other mods refuse to work. I've attempted uninstalling all but 1 to try a single mod(took a lot more work than just disabling them, had to change ini files and remove them, etc) and they STILL never load. I do not know why mine, even though I've followed all the recent 'fixes', refuse to work (Even with a fresh/brand new game) and am at wits end. For the last 2-3 days ive played FO4 0 time but have spent around 12 hrs total on the game trying to get my saves to load. I am sick of it and want to play my freaking game. REALLY annoyed at Bethesda for this crap. it WAS NOT broken, and it DID NOT 'steal' anything from you, why the hell did you sabotage us? -Alright rant over- Edited May 2, 2016 by AtmaDarkwolf
HippeusOmega
I'm having similar issues and to be honest. It's really starting to piss me off. I go to load saves and then it says Content missing from a mod. Then later I can load my save just fine. This is with my mods and such flagged as enabled. I uninstalled all my mods and reinstall them and still having this issue. Leave it to Bethesda to screw everybody.
happysham1
I´m having the same problem. I`ve unistalled and reinstalled. Checked the data folder with the original mod file path and everything seems to be where its supposed to be. The mods just don't appear in game. Cheers Bethesda. Thanks for the patch dude. I really appreciate it. Jerks!
ddavies10693
Does it say they're enabled within NMM? you always should be launching through there
deadlotus
Yes, the mods are, but none of them show that there is an update available.
SMB92
I can get the main mods to work via the NMM reenable trick, but I have found that no matter what I do, any file dependant on a DLC will cause the startup CTD, even if I manually add the Fallout esm or DLCs esms to the plugins.txt file. I can load any amount of other files but if they have DLC dependancy, its game over.
HippeusOmega
Does it say they're enabled within NMM? you always should be launching through there Basically my issue it will be fine loading up a save. However if I save say a new file or load that same file it will say content is missing. Or hell it'll even say one of the mods have been disabled outright even though its still flagged properly in NMM and in Fallout 4's stupid mod page. That's without changing anything such as installing or uninstall mods. That is one play session. Thing is I don't know what it could be. It could be a script, a texture cause I don't know it won't tell me. All I do know is my mods worked fine till this 1.5 patch :(
