SMB92
You might try redownloading them as well, in case theres missing resources. I know theres a patch out for CBBE neck seam problem, i'm not familiar eith those other mods though. Basically for the shadows, set it to ultra, then go to your falloutprefs and look for the two distance settings that are now set to 20000, and lower them to 8000 or so, maybe a little less if your rig is a bit weaker. JimmyRJump
The foot inside the leg seems to be a clash between textures that happens when using "Unique Player" in combination with other body mods. All body mods add their textures to the regular path, while Unique Player has it's own folders. When you create a body with BodySlide, you need to hit the "ctrl' key while hitting "Build" so that you have a new .nif file inside the BodySlide folder. That .nif file needs to be added to the "Data\meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets" (regular path when not using Unique Player is "Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets" )
queensiha
ah, ok, ill try that!how can i fix the leg textures since i've already made a build w/o the crtrl+ key? is there a way to "reset" essentially so i can fix the legs?when i hit ctrl + build will it give me the option to pick where to save it to? or do i need to open the bodyslide folder and manually move the new .nif file?thank you so much! JimmyRJump
I always save in the BodySlide folder and then manually copy the .nif file. Could be that this won't be enough, depending on what you did before. Problem is that Unique Player doesn't have a CBBE version, which means you first have to overwrite Unique Player files with CBBE files. 1) Before doing anything else, copy the two first-person files and two body & hands files from "Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets" into "Data\meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets" 2) The same goes for textures. Copy BaseFemaleHands_d.dds, BaseFemaleHands_n.dds, BaseFemaleHands_s.dds, femalebody_d.dds, femalebody_n.dds and femalebody_s.dds from the "Data\Textures\actors\character\basehumanfemale" folder into "Data\textures\actors\character\PlayerHumanFemale". After having done this, you'll have a clean, unique player that uses generic CBBE body and textures. Now you can open BodySlide and make a body to your own liking and when done save what you've done with "Save Preset As" and name your build to something you'll immediately recognise as something you've made yourself. Then click "build", while holding the left "ctrl" key and save the .nif file inside the BodySlide folder. Don't forget to hold ctrl, otherwise your body .nif will go into the CBBE folder and all NPC will have that body. Now copy that .nif file from the BodySlide folder to the "Data\meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets" one and you're done  Edited May 9, 2016 by JimmyRJump
queensiha
ah, ok i did everything you said up until going into the bodyslide folder and moving the file... it saved as a .xml document? :/ i dont see any file with .nif (im looking in /bodyslide/sliderpresets as its the place it auto took me to save as when in the builder). did i mess up? :sad:i just checked the bodyslide folder on its own, and there is one femalebody.nif there but i still dont have the option of saving as a .nif extension?it says this when i ctrl+buildhttp://i.imgur.com/PYHjmnM.jpgand when i do save ashttp://i.imgur.com/qvQnYx1.jpg is there some way to stop it from changing the femalebody.nif? i feel like thats probably where im messing up Edited May 9, 2016 by queensiha
JimmyRJump
You musn't save as a preset, but as a .nif. You need to go one folder up: the main bodyslide folder instead of the presets one. When I first let you make a preset of the body you've made in BodySlide (the "save as" thing) is to keep you from over-writing the preset you used as basis for your body. Presets are always saved as an .xml file and are visible in BodySlide under the "preset" header (where you chose your "Blaise_Custom" ) A new body (ctrl + Build) however is a "base" file, saved as "femalebody.nif" and needs to go in the main BodySlide folder ;)
queensiha
but when i do save as after ctrl+build, even under the bodyslide folder, i didn't see the option for any extension beyond .xml? :(also thank you SO much for your swift replies and help. i appreciate it so much!! JimmyRJump
Crickey, I overlooked the top picture in your other post, with the pop-up saying you successfully made a FemaleBody.nif... that's the one you need to copy as that's the new body. The 'save as' function is only to save a preset under a different name (in order to preserve the original file) and is always saved as an .xml file. Only the 'build' option is saved as a .nif, but that goes automatically  Just to make things clear: when you choose a preset like 'vrx_CBBE_Hardbody' and you play with the sliders in BodySlide to change that body to your preferences, you would overwrite the original file (xml) when hitting 'save'. That's why it is better to choose 'Save as' and give your own choice of name to that preset, otherwise you would need to re-download the files in order to get the original ones back. If you use that 'vrx_CBBE_Hardbody' without changes, then you don't need to save at all since the files haven't been altered. These actions however have nothing to do with the creation of a new body, just with the creation of a new preset. Don't mention it... what I'm telling you here is stuff I have been told by other helpful people. Just passing-on the knowledge  Edited May 10, 2016 by JimmyRJump
queensiha
hmm.. ok, just so i know im understandingi need to copy that femalebody.nif that it saved to, change the name to my custom one, and put it in the char folder you mentioned? if so, do i need to do anything to restore anything, such as me hitting save instead of save as? (im pretty sure at first i hit save before i asked for help). im sorry for not completely understanding! D:
