Dan3345
Fallout 3 encouraged exploration by putting out hundreds of random things, tents, intact buildings, loot stashes, guarded keeps etc. Fallout new vegas IMO did not.. I fast traveled everywhere in this game something I did not do in Fallout 3.. What I was thinking is a relatively simple mod which would add more things of interest around the mojave wasteland. It does not have to be horribly detailed just broken down homes to explore, which would mean adding interiors to places like bonnie springs. Adding random tents and more encounters of super mutants wandering in hunting groups. Also I think adding another large mostly desolate city is in order. I have never been to Las Vegas in person, I have been to Nevada but not much of it, however I was thinking that a good candidate for a city would be Winchester Nevada, seeing as how it is a city, it has casinos, and it is only 20 miles away from Las Vegas. Seeing as how the only goal here would be exploration, it would not need working casinos, in fact wrecked and abandoned ones would be perfect, and the buildings would need to be large (like skyscraper size). I would think the city should be around the size of the ruins of DC, in fallout 3.. To me that would be realistic, instead of one major city Las Vegas. Bothers me that the developers only included Las Vegas in this game, and that there is not much exploration to be had. And yes I am aware of the IWS mod, however what I specifically meant with regards to the super mutants for example was for them to be all over the place. Seems odd to me how super mutants for example can only be found at two places, black mountain, and jacobstown, you would think they would be everywhere in varied numbers. Honestly I would do this myself but I can't figure out how to place objects like buildings and doors in the game world. Or coordinate exactly the orientation I want them in. Krutz
I agree with the adding subtle things like broken down buildings, or random caves and mines to explore, and super mutant squads roaming the wastes. Asking for an entire new city is a little much. I wish they would come out with Fallout 3 with all the great features New Vegas has to offer. New Vegas features with vastness of Fallout 3. If I must do it myself I will force myself to learn it. And I will definitely watch for that mod. I don't think a city would be too hard, but then I don't know how to place buildings at all, perhaps though soon it will be my creation.
billyro
Vurt's Wasteland Flora makes the outback more fun to explore. What is fun about exploring some terrain that looks identical to some place 4 miles back? Now there are trees... TREES! (TREES! :woot: ) ...Well I live in Queensland, you can't blame me for liking... dare I say it... TREES!

stevie70
Honestly I would do this myself but I can't figure out how to place objects like buildings and doors in the game world. Or coordinate exactly the orientation I want them in.just drag them into the render window from the object palette. and for precise editing, either just drag them where you want them (hold z for vertical movement) or double click them (once they're in render window) and a tab will open where you can enter their exact position and rotation numerically.or better, just do the first-vault-tutorial from the bethsoft-site, gives you a good hang of the basics. And I will definitely watch for that mod. I don't think a city would be too hard, but then I don't know how to place buildings at all, perhaps though soon it will be my creation.a city is a HELL of work, i can tell you (even if you do it all crappy it will take up quite some time).the mod i mentioned won't have a city, but it's gonna be a collection of small stuff (like camps, little quests, fun locations random encounters and so on) all across the gameworld, with new ones regularly added (i plan on reviving searchlight in the follow-up for "vegas, baby..." though, but i'm not even all through with part 1 yet, so... :-)but for what i know, there's lots of city-mods on the nexus, so you should maybe just browse... looloolooigotsomeapples
Well the smaller amount of Super Mutants makes complete sense as they are not the same ones from Fallout 3, but a different strain. Either way, neither types are unlimited and there is no more FEV to make new ones. Tabitha explains 1st and 2nd generations, and those are the only ones around. Granted, there were a lot of mutants made when the Master was around (a large army), but they have spread out and are in different areas. So basically, no, you wouldn't think they would be everywhere. However you may want A World of Pain for this, lots of interior work and new buildings to explore, as clearly you're into that.
