your issue IS, your suffering from an NMM bug, redownload the packages, use 7z to extract the data, move the source materials out of the data folder to the desktop and delete the folder "data", move the materials back into the extracted folder. zip it up and install it now, this time the data will get installed properly.

a know issue....Sub Data folders are NOT picked up by the games engine so no, the materials are not accessible.

You are not crazy and are not wrong, there can be no mods access with that package.

try it and see.

So what do I need to redownload and extract manually? I'd guess just the hair mod since that's the only one that's misbehaving at present.

It's odd because the hair mod was working fine up until I installed TTB so maybe NMM hacked up somewhere.

Nmm has been known to have issues with sub packaging. It depends on a lot of things you use on the PC, how it's used.

fallout 3 has always been a buggy game when it comes to packaging up the mods used.

If you were to look into your games data folder...you will in fact find yet another folder called data...where this should not be there.

it's there as a result of the installers Engine.

Though you may have thought the hair mod was working before. it could not possibly have been active.

TTB does not cause other mods to be uninstalled, no mod I am aware of will do that, but overwrites are the only thing that can take place.

TTB is just an esp here ,and as you can plainly see i the shots provided, your saved game runs just fine here.

only installers cause incorrect extractions processes. I use Mod Organizer and I used every possible version ever produced for testing purposes.

I used a version above recommended for this game because I needed to see some other things for another user here.

MO...will extract and install any mod available correctly as long as the packaging is correct.

Fomod's are scripted mods, use scripts to install and delete things as they are installed, they provide the user with choices at install as my shot indicates.

MO isa mod game installer, it does have the ability to mimic Nmm features but is limited only to a single game.

Nmm is a multi game web site tools installer....uses the internet web systems for mods...and is way over complicated to fix things.

To each it's own thus deserves it's purposes.

I don't need web works to Determine issues.

I hope you got all of this now figured out.

Might I make a suggestion?

Instead of going through all the trouble of unpacking and repacking and all that, why not just follow the mod author's instructions?

Open the downloaded file. Extract the meshes and textures to the data folder and allow for overwrite. Do the same with the .esm file.

Toggle archive invalidation.

Done and done.

Okay, so I tried overwriting all the files and re-copying them across, but it's still a no-go. Still only vanilla hairstyles showing up in the hair menu when I go to it either via the beauty salon mod or showbarbermenu in console.

I even tried re-toggling archive invalidation off and then back on again but still no luck.

Can you please provide a screen shot from in game of salon choices?

Or at least name the hair style your looking for.

If I hair.esm, the files / hairs I see are vanilla, Enabled, the names change.

If the character was a women instead of a man, there is a drastic change in hair styles.

there is very little for the men.

I need something better to go by.

Is the game retail or steam?

Is the game installed in C:\Program Files And Folders? because if it is ? that's the problem. ..again, IF it is installed in a default location, you need to reinstall the game outside of a protected system folder or drive.

this is a known issue with any of the games and Windows. Windows is a nasty headache. UAC " user account Control...prevents any changes to data in it's protected folders so NO, you will not see any changes. "If it is installed there."
