LoliKnightXardej
So a number of years ago my friend made a custom character for my personal use (skeleton, model, and textures). I wanted her to do the same thing for me with FO4 so I could carry the same character with me, but she's since given up modding and has no plans to touch FO4. I tried to make the character in FO4 as close to the original as possible, but without the original's custom tattoos and other things it's just not the same. I heard that fallout handles its textures, models, and skeletons in a different manner than Behtesda's older games so I kind of gave up thoughts on jury rigging the character into FO4. So, now that the creation kit is out I was just wondering if it's possible to do this? Hell, I'd even settle for just getting my custom textures and nothing else since those are what really matter. Side note: everything that makes the character up is completely original assets. Nothing belongs to Skyrim, so there should be no issue porting it over in that regard in the event such a thing is possible, right?

You understand that things are done somewhat differently in FO4, you understand that you can use new tools to RECREATE something similar to a model from another game- yet you still seem to request a ONE BUTTON solution? You seem to be working hard to refuse to accept a truth you already know. It is as if you are saying you want a thing, but don't want to do the work to get a thing. If that is the case, you need to offer your original character to the general modding community, and see if anyone is willing to do the porting work for you. jsnider193
short answer is probably yes .. have not done this but have brought over some melee weapons directly into the CK with out changing anything. As to the bone rigging and such not a know anything person, so others might help there. Look at bodyslide mod in file section and some of the tuts on same it might be what you need. EmissaryOfWind
As for the textures, it will depend on whether your custom body's UV matched the UV of whatever body you'll be using. If it does, you're golden, just replace the female body texture with yours (or use unique player if you don't want all npcs to have your texture). If it doesn't, we'll, you'll pretty much have to remake it yourself I'm afraid.

Yikes friend, that's not what I'm asking in the slightest. I was asking if doing this is even possible. Yeesh. short answer is probably yes .. have not done this but have brought over some melee weapons directly into the CK with out changing anything. Bodyslide. That might actually help a lot. Haven't really touched FO4 mods since I was waiting for the CK stuff to start rolling in, so I wasn't aware if that was even a thing yet. Thanks for the heads up friend. As for the textures, it will depend on whether your custom body's UV matched the UV of whatever body you'll be using. The body I used is based on the basic CBBE body, which is in FO4 now from what I've seen, so I might be in luck with that. Thanks for the tip! I'm afraid you'll be disappointed...The Fallout4 CBBE is a completly new Body.
TeamBacon
I won't waste your time. The answer is no.
VokunGrohiikDovah
As far as I can tell, Fallout 4's CBBE and Skyrim's CBBE textures almost perfectly overlap. I'd go so far as to say you could take the textures, put a skin-coloured background and just rename them appropriately and shove them into a unique player mod with CBBE meshes. But if you did that then it might look *slightly* weird, since Skyrim CBBE textures were ever so slightly smaller than Fallout 4's, which means you may need to use the distort or resize tool a little to get it to fit. Or, if it's something simple like a few tattoos, you could cut them from the Skyrim texture and paste them onto the Fallout 4 texture. And, if all else fails, find a way to make a body mod using your Skyrim body. But really, they fit over eachother really well, so a little tweaking should be just fine. And using bodyslide, you might be able to get something similar to the shape of your Skyrim Body. And don't loose hope, I've seen a post of a guy who managed to port his ARGONIAN into Fallout! Beast races were complicated enough in Skyrim, but he managed to put it into Fallout 4 as the player character, and he ported his usual armour from Skyrim too! What I'm saying is, if someone can do that, then this is absolutely 100% possible. Edited July 15, 2016 by VokunGrohiikDovah
