mettalx1
So I finally decided to update NMM and after I tried to open it I got an net.framework error which, by itself, is no problem at all. I quickly downloaded the executable and after starting it what did it do? It blocked my installation and gave this neat little error: "The .NET Framework 4.6.1 is not supported on this operating system." I refuse to update my OS to 8 because I'm more than happy with 7, so is there any way to download an older version of NMM which is still compatible with my rig? Also I can't believe that the latest update is "forcing" you to upgrade just to be able to open it. I thought the more compatible the software is with ALL operating systems (7 and later), the wider the audience it reaches and in turn more people can enjoy an easily moddable Fallout 4 experience. mettalx1
Ok nevermind, found version 0.61.4 here https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/896029-nexus-mod-manager-release-notes-and-download-links/ and now everything works fine. But still, what will happen when that version becomes obsolete? Maybe that's in the far future, maybe I'll upgrade by then.. but I'm still not a fan of these ridiculous requirements. If the game doesn't require such upgrades then why does the most popular modding software for the same does? Maybe we're a minority (OS 7 users), but it's still a slight step backwards imo. EDIT: Also I tried downloading the offline Windows 7/8 etc. version of net.framework which was listed for people who do NOT have Widnows 10 via the installer and I still get the same error... so yeah. v0.61.4 it is! Thanks for the link and help! Much appreciated! Edited May 5, 2016 by mettalx1
