Lost Dogmeat?

Had that happen to me a 'few' times.

 

Use the Console Command:

 

~ (to enter console command)

 

prid 1d162 (shift/enter)

moveto player (enter)

 

~ ( to exit and Dogmeat should be close to you.)

thanks found him for some reason he does no come when you ring the bell thanks again!

 

The "Bell" is not part of Dogmeats 'call'. I did some search on this and not sure where it / how it started - but NO - Dogmeat does not come at the ring of the bell.

 

The bell is basically an ALARM of invaders / attacks.

 

So, do not hold your breath if you are ringing the bell to have Dogmeat come ....

The thing about Dogmeat is that he'll hang out in doghouses, so the trick is to make sure you store or scrap every one of them except the one you want him to hang out in. The downside is that if you buy a dog, even if you build another doghouse they'll all try to use one of them.

 

I never have to worry about about Dogmeat, as he is always with me, period. Man's Best Friend and all.

 

I have a mod that allows me to have multiple followers. I always have Dogmeat and 1 other Companion. I do not like a lot of followers, but Dogmeat is not what I call a "Follower" - he is my 'best friend' and he goes with me period! ;)

 

Do it's usually Dogmeat & Nickie V. Then Dogmeat and Deacon and so on. There are only 1 place I will not take him. The Glowing Sea, then he stays at my home, the Red Rocket just outside of Sanctuary. I have no one really 'living' there but me, Dogmeat, Cogsworth and Buddy and the one and only follower of the moment. Oh and Ada and only Ada.

This actually reminds me of a story. Once while doing the Trinity Tower "Curtain Call" Quest, Dogmeat jumped off of the window washing lift on the way down to fight the supermutants inside the tower. This disabled his companion teleport near player effect and the ability to move Dogmeat next to the player using: Pride 1d162. Moveto Player. I also wasn't able to simply order him to say Sanctuary by trading companions. In fact, what I ended up doing was reclimbing the tower and intentionally jumping off of the lift on the way down to meet Dogmeat inside the building. We then both fast traveled to the buildings bottom floor and the glitch was resolved.
