KDStudios
When I want to upload a series of images or ones completely unrelated to the nexus, I use Imageshack. You could use that instead? No one will be any the wiser either depending how you post the links to the images? In my personal opinion 5 images is already overly generous. It's horrible uploading an image for people to provide feedback on.... then have some guy upload 5 images of something generic and... Well there's just nothing to say on them o_OA maximum of 5 images is already quite a lot, there's a LOT of images uploaded here on the nexus and each of them take up resources.Increasing it would tax the servers more and the amount of bandwidth going out to users. But yeah just use imageshack, I've been using them for about a year now and they store all the images I need, in any practical format and in a quite large size too. I've never had to shrink my images in order to upload them :)
Dark0ne
The 5 count restriction (10 for premium members) was brought in on the request of regular users of the Image Share as people were dumping 10 - 50 images at a time there and no one else's images were getting a chance inbetween one person's screenshots of their female character doing the same pose from 50 different angles. Deleted1848331User
You could make it so if you have them set to hidden you could upload more. (When I upload images, usually they're for something else, usually a mod, so I hide them to use them on something)
GeJiPe
I have absolutely proposed to limit the number of photos that we can post them but to limit the number of photos to be elected in monthly ranking of the top 25.All of the top 25 places are currently trustees by the same 5 or 6 members because they are giving each other thumbs up.You can also put a comment (not thumb up) to communicate with the author but nobody cares.Certainly not the hundreds of visitors who view these photos without ever putting any comment.I do not remember seeing a picture or comment from you since I frequent this forum. You can post up to 10 photos (instead of 5) by becoming a "premium member".I hope that as many people as possible will want to post their photos, everyone to communicate more and for that you need already some understanding that this forum is not theirs but is open to everyone.I hope I explained well and that you now understand that my approach n'a pas pour but de limiter le nombre de photos postées,bien au contraire.Friendly greetings, german friend. GeJiPe
I especially believe that if I stopped yelling at each injustice that I see it would make me a holiday !!!...And this little problem is so trivial, sorry I opened a topic for so little.Kind and friendly greetings to all,JP Gourio alias bjpgmag. DrakeTheDragon
Well, I was using Imageshack for quite a while, actually still am, just not that regularly anymore.I have some 1000 images in my gallery there, 800 of them on currently offline servers, 600 reuploaded to second servers, which now are also down on a regular basis. It's not that they're deleted or removed after time or something, this I could understand. No, the urls lead to Not Found pages as the servers are down. Having this happen to like 80% of your images on a pretty random but regular basis, some only a couple seconds after you uploaded them, makes you slowly reconsider your host. But I agree, I must've been mistaking the purpose of the image share section. And me taking part in this discussion also makes no sense, as I was never a proper user of it. I only have a small handful of images hosted here, you'll never notice them unless you search for it. I'm not a screenshooter, I just like to keep the readers of my WIP threads informed about my progress. And the best way to show this, to me, are images.I'm only very rarely endorsing or commenting either, as I don't feel like judging other people's work. If there is something I really want to give a comment about, I do, but it happens only very rarely. I understand the purpose of the 5 images per day limit, and I understand me not being able to afford a premium membership I have to deal with some restrictions. But as I said, if there is like a switch to not make them show up in whatever area needs spam protection through this restriction at all, I'll gladly use it. But then, I guess I should just direct those readers to my deviantart gallery and only put the really cool or innovative feature shots up here from time to time. That'd be the real purpose of an imageshare section as I got to understand it anyways. But this'd be the last post of mine in this topic, as it's going off-topic because of me and I'm only derailing it further. And I also realized I should stay away from posting too often these days, as my current mood only produces such offensive nonsense lately as seen in my last posts.I have nothing to contribute to this discussion, as I don't care what those people are doing or about the ranking system itself entirely, and I should have never written my first post here.(Neither irony nor sarcasm intended in any of my sentences.) GeJiPe
I see that you are at least as cynical as me.I not I do not know how to share, to enjoy my many photos and it is clear, that this is not true that I would find a solution. But anyway as everyone who cares, what importance?...I close here this topic open for anything.Sincere and friendly greeting.
