gomer1800
Hey Everyone, about a month ago I got into the modding scene for oblivion due to Arwen's Oblivion Modding Guide. Anyhow, I just recently re-installed oblivion and my mods in order to do the process in an organized manner bu using Wrye Bash and OBMM together. I've been experiencing crashing on frequent occasions, usually as I travel on the open road for extended periods of time. I checked my OBSE log and this is what I found: "plugin c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins\\OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue.dll (00000002 OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue 00000009) loaded correctlychecking plugin c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins\\sr_Oblivion_Stutter_Remover.dllplugin c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins\\sr_Oblivion_Stutter_Remover.dll (00000001 sr_Oblivion_Stutter_Remover 00004100) loaded correctlypatchedloading from C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 1 - Test1 - Imperial Prison, Level 1, Playing Time 00.02.25.obseReading mod list from co-saveLoading stringsLoading array variablesplugin has data in save file but no handlerDoLoadGameHook: C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 1 - Test1 - Imperial Prison, Level 1, Playing Time 00.02.25.essloading from C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 1 - Test1 - Imperial Prison, Level 1, Playing Time 00.02.25.obseplugin did not read all of its data (at 000000000000ABD0 expected 000000000000D85B)RenameGameHook: C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\autosave.ess -> C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\autosave.bakrenaming C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\autosave.obse -> C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\autosave.obse.bakDoSaveGameHook: C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\autosave.esssaving to C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\autosave.obseDoSaveGameHook: C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 2 - Test1 - Natural Caverns, Level 1, Playing Time 00.07.36.esssaving to C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 2 - Test1 - Natural Caverns, Level 1, Playing Time 00.07.36.obse "plugin has data in save file but no handler"... I noticed this and I immediately thought this may be the problem. My question is, how does one track these "loose" plugins down, and what do I do about them? And is this causing the crashes?" Oddball56
I don't know if it helps you, but i had crashing on load save, and also crashing on new game after the king in charloader. No save could be loaded, and no new game could be started.Unchecking my bashed patch solved these isues for now..I also use obmm and wrye bash together.Cleaning and reinstalling all the plugins did not help, i tried that before. Hickory
plugin has data in save file but no handlerDoLoadGameHook: C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 1 - Test1 - Imperial Prison, Level 1, Playing Time 00.02.25.essloading from C:\Users\Home\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves\Save 1 - Test1 - Imperial Prison, Level 1, Playing Time 00.02.25.obseplugin did not read all of its data (at 000000000000ABD0 expected 000000000000D85B) Your save files are becoming corrupt. Turn off all 'Save on..' options, ie. Save On Wait, Save On Travel, etc. This is a known issue, especially for heavily modded games or low spec computers where the game engine cannot cope with the extra workload of saving during processor intensive actions. free8082002
Use WryeBash to remove bloat. Thats work for me.
dubiousintent
I see (from the presence of the 'Program Files (x86)' folder) you are running on a 64-bit system, either Vista or Windows 7. I strongly urge you to take the time now to move Oblivion out of that folder tree. For a pretty thorough discussion of the issues and other ways to take advantage of an x64 system, including relevant links, the relatively short thread (only 20 posts) "Oblivion and Mods Install for Win 7 64? Any Issues?" is recommended reading. -Dubious-
