Weapon Spread

OK I just started playing the PC version of NV, It looks so much better on a quad core system lol anyways... right to the point. Weapons spread... is a joke! or Accuracy which ever you want to name it. But really... When you shot the geckos for the first time with ol' girl (sry cant remember the name) In the 360 I was able to pick them off with out VATS no problem. Took a few seconds to aim right with the Varmint Rifle but I was able to instant kill one with one shot. I shot 8 times in the pc version before I even hit one. So please tell me there is a way or a mod to adjust the accuracy of the guns. Its killing me...

There is the weapon proper spreading factor (which does not directly relate to accuracy) and the player's character capacity to keep the weapon steady (which is not directly related with the actual individual playing the game capacity to do it).

The first factor can be changed in the weapon properties, the second... just improve your skills with that weapon type and maybe a perk or two.

A few other factors contribute to change the overall accuracy, like broken limbs, dazzling... but they are very situational.

But is there really that much of a difference between the two versions? The character I have was created the exact same way as my 360 Version... the 360 Accuracy, even at the start of the game, seemed a lot better.

Sounds like the console version is meant to younger audience used to First Person Shooters. Fallout is a RPG what mean the character's skills need to be developed and the actual player's skills have only a secondary influence over the character performance.

PS: On the other hand, you find mods to shape the game to your taste. I bet there are some to make a shotgun as accurate as a sniper. Since the console can't be (legally) modded they might have opted to make things a bit easier.
