Does the CK require an excessive amount processing power?

I am finding it almost impossible to have my iTunes, Firefox, NMM and the Creation Kit open at the same time.

When I do it usually slows my PC right down and in some instances the applications/programs do not work at all or take a seriously long time to work. I'm wondering if it is the CK.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had similar experiences.

It requires a metric f-ton of processing power. I can hardly view outside cells without it stuttering and stopping like crazy. Viewing interior cells are fine but the exterior cells have too many things going wich is frustrating. I can run the game on ultra but I can barely run the CK outside.

Windows multi-tasking system is utterly useless when running more than one CPU intensive program. But there are third party utilities that dynamically alter the priority of running threads and their memory resources to prevent exactly the issue you are seeing. I think one is called 'PROCESS LASSO". Google it, and you'll probably find info about other alterantives as well.

Always assume your default settings for ANY Microsoft program are profoundly unoptimal BY INTENT. MS purpsoely creates the situation where hundreds of satellite companies in the vicinity of MS HQ can offer services 'fixing' the corporate user experience of default windows. It is a symbiotic relationship that works well for MS, just as it causes horrid problems for most ordianary users.
