ddavies10693
So I want to create a mod with Fo4Edit that increases Melee, Unarmed and Bash Damage by a significant amount for anyone in the world wearing a power armor frame, mostly because it makes sense to me that wearing this giant mechanical frame would allow anyone to hit much harder than normal. Originally I thought this would be pretty easy because I could put an "Enchantment" on the power armor frame item. This is something I know how to do with xedit, and would have had no problem. However once I began researching how the game handles the power armor frame item, I noticed this is much more difficult than I originally thought because the power armor frame is not a universal item. There are multiple power armor frame baseid's (at least 20 I think) , so it may not work how I originally anticipated. I'm just looking for advice on the best way to accomplish this goal. I would say I have a working knowledge of xedit, and can understand most terms. I don't use the CK much, but could probably figure it out if necessary. Thanks for any ideas. ddavies10693
I don't need someone to create this for me, I can probably do it, I just need some suggestions on the easiest way.
JTL2
Did you try using the GECK? In my mod I changed the PA frame Enchantment easily, and was able to get it to work no matter what power armor suit I used.
ddavies10693
No I haven't tried it yet because I thought it was still technically in Beta. I wonder if there would be any real interest in a mod like this anyway. Maybe I'll try it out. I haven't used the CK since Skyrim several years ago, is it drastically different? JTL2
Nope. It's practically identical. There are a few changes, like the Perk Tree which annoys me (cause my mod is a perk overhaul). But for the most part, everything is where I expected it to be.
