I have to be honest, though, the auto-playing and malware filled ads are what eventually pushed me to do my lifetime subscription, but I don't regret it because the download speeds are FREGGEN AMAZING with the subscription. Whoooooo~~ like a bullet whizzing past my ear.

All in all, I have to say I'm super proud of you guys for doing this. It's noble and honorable.

If you need any help with sorting ads or finding reputable sources, I have 10+ years in web design and am newly into the info security industry just this year.

I will say one of the bad things about those ads were that they would "rotate" or refresh to new ads every couple seconds, which made the page continuously load and slowed down not only my downloads, but my entire browser. Just a heads up.

I really appreciate this, and thank you for everything you do,
sincerely,
me!

Agreed, kudos,

and yeah, those adds have the unfortunate side effect of making browsing the site with adds enabled made it all but impossible and I felt shitty about using addblock but I had to as I have no way of purchasing membership at the moment, which I would gladly do and will one of these days, but until then I'm glad they're doing something about the problem adds and I will be happy to white list this site as I want to help them out for this amazing place and community of which I'm thankful for.

While I enjoy a lifetime sub here I do appreciate your earnest desire to acquire an ad agency with scruples -- however, no matter how far and wide you look you'll never find a noble team player in that business -- it's the mercurial nature of their Guild which honours economics above morality -- but I do applaud your idealism which shows a trusting humanity about you.

I'll be turning off my adblocker on this site then, at least for a while. My internet sucks and auto-playing videos would kill the speed of the site, so I didn't really have a choice. If those are gone, I'm happy to whitelist the site.

Dark0ne you are a champion amongst men. I'm glad you revealed this as I am now once again happy to turn off my adblock for Nexus. I wish more sites would be as transparent as this.

I did used to have membership but it ran out. Hey-ho!

I white listed early because I reconsidered my stance on advertising on the Nexus. Now I regret it because neither my high end PC nor my Note 5 run smoothly. I hate denying revenue to a site that I appreciate, but I can't seem to find a way to prevent this kind of intrusion.

I haven't been able to stay on the Nexus long lately. I don't know if it's flash or what, but the site causes my browser to "lock up". If I close the tab Nexus is loaded in, eventually the browser recovers and I can resume whatever I was doing again.

I suspected it was/is the ads, but it's difficult for me to know for sure with my own means. Curious to see how this all pans out. I do have adblocker turned off btw.

Hey Fernofry,

Glad that you re willing to help us with the deactivation of adblock on our site, but if you had a premium membership that expired you automatically get put into a supporter role and this also come's with the benefit of no-ads?

Do you still see ads if you have adblock turned off?
