GOG Morrowind Version

Hey, everyone. I don't currently have Morrowind, but I am thinking of getting it. I've been leaning towards the GOG version over the Steam version because of its lack of DRM. I was just wondering though, if I get the GOG versions will all, or at least most, of the mods on this site still work for it? Thanks!

The Morrowind Code Patch may not work with the GOG version, chances are they've changed the executable from the original (no disk checks).

There's no mention of the MCP supporting the GOG version in its readme (2.2):

This patch should support French, German, Italian, Polish and Russian editions. If it doesn't work on your version please email me using the address in the Contact section. This patch should also support the Steam edition, as long as Steam make no further changes to the program. The Impulse / GameFly downloaded version of Morrowind is NOT supported, as Impulse adds a custom DRM wrapper to the program, which I am unable to work around.

What happened between the time you posted this, and now?

Coincidentally I just found out that the Morrowind Code Patch will work with the GOG version of the game. Apologies for spreading FUD.

I can confirm everything works fine with the GOG version. I highly recommend it over any DRM version, it is way easier to mod without having to worry about Steam/Origin auto-"repairing" or just getting in the way...
