lofgren
No need to apologize. I was feeling ranty. I will send you a link to wyrmstooth. I don't know if the Nexus has a policy on using its forums to share files that the author has said he has no problem with sharing on another site, but given the Nexus' general stance of respecting the author I think it's likely OK. (I think this thread would probably be gone by now if it wasn't.)
Surilindur
<snip> Direct link to the author's comment. This is the first I'd heard about it. It's sad, because I really enjoyed Wyrmtooth and would have recommended it to others, but I respect the mod author's decision. Reddit is not something I read, so thank you for pointing me to that post. Great to hear the reason behind the whole thing. Real life always comes first indeed.
BobbyP92
Hey guys. Not going to lie I've came across this thread whilst trying to find out more about the mod authors absence and the destiny of his work. I'm yet to even get a pc and play any mods, but his was one I saw mentioned multiple times, ad as daft as it sounds just reading about mods helped me when I was in a crappy situation for some time. Is reddit the only way to get his attention do you know? (I don't really use it.) And how would I go about getting a copy of it? I'd like to download it before the links to it get completely lost and I don't know anybody else personally who mods. Cheers for any info :)
lofgren
The author has expressed a desire to withdraw from modding, but says he does not mind if people share the mod "privately." I take this to mean that he doesn't mind if people request it and share it on a forum like this but posting a link publicly would be inappropriate. BobbyP92
I understand, it sounds like he doesn't want a fresh mod page going up for it :). Would you be able to share it us with us privately lofgren? (If you own a copy of course)

stingraypl
Hello. So, the author's post was apparently removed from reddit for reasons. Can someone summarize what was it about? No link to mod, I just want to know what happened.
urbeatle
Short version: mod author feels he's lost control of his life because he's addicted to modding, writing a webcomic, and socializing online. To avoid further temptation, he's removed his mods, comic, and online presence. In other words, he's not trying to prevent others from enjoying his mod, he's trying to prevent himself from working on it.
