I feel unsatisfied with my stay here...

I have been on this site for close to 6 years and this is now my sixth post. It is sad from my point of view. I am what some people call a Lurker. And it almost angers me. I am someone who usually gets involved in forums but I realized today that this is the only one where I have just sat and done nothing. I regret it. I have missed the chance to speak to many modders who have now left the "scene" and it saddens me to think, what if. So I guess that is a sort of introduction very late in the game. So hi to the old and hi to the new. I am actually alive.

It's never too late to start. Just post on a few mod pages and eventually you'll get into it. :)

A few helpful hints to get more involved:

Load some screen shots of the game you are playing

look at, comment about, and / or endorse some screenies

make some mods ( or not )

ignore this suggestion because I deleted it

make comments in the "You know what I like" thread

annoy people in the "last poster wins" by actually being the last one that does post

Fill out your profile page with a lot of nonsense like many of us have done

I'm not fussed what the community considers me.

 

I love this site - warts and all - a soucre of so much fun and knowledge and so much 1st rate work by so many.

 

My lack of donations is purely down to my own financial struggles - the site and the modders can expect that to change as soon as my circumstances do.

 

Being banned from chat isn't great - I was only trying to help - but I don't care - on the day before the psychoactive substances bill hits the UK - I'm in the mood for letting the people I really do admire and appreciate have some feedback...

I myself used to lurk the nexus forums before i got active. I became a member to ask people for help back when i was learning how to mod. i quickly grew comfortable to hw respectful this community is compared to ..well pretty much anything else on the internet involving people. The Moderators keep trolls and spam in check and the community heartfully adds content to entertain/help everyone else. After some point, there was no way i could continue lurking. I had to be part of this.

I'm also terrible at participating in forums, most of the time I come across a thread I'd give input on, someone has already expressed my thoughts. So I continue lurking. I do enjoy hanging out in the chatroom, maybe it's more my style to help people there. I should try to get more involved though, it's a nice modding community.
