Dan3345
This is just outside broc flower cave. Basically the water is really weird.. When I do nothing it looks like this. Then as soon as I interact with the water in any way shape or form it looks like this. This is a new thing for my game.. I had finally gotten everything working, pretty much no lag, very little stutter, and all my mods appeared to be working in unison. Then I deleted some files in my data folder from the meshes and textures. I tested the game to make sure nothing important was missing, it seemed fine. So then I cleaned out my recycle bin.. Now I am worried I may have accidentally deleted something important without realizing. The thing is this is only happening in this one spot as far as I can tell. However there have been some weird occurrences since noticing the water. For instance I was at camp golf and I killed a lakelurk in vats and when I came out of vats the sky was solid gray and the sun was flashing. The water had also turned solid gray and when I walked in it my lower body was invisible. This was alleviated simply by entering the camp gold building and exiting. If it helps here is my load order. nukafish
There's really no such thing as a perfect running game, especially when talking about New Vegas! It's just a part of the landscaping, I get that too and sometimes in other parts. If it's really bothering you, someone could probably make a small mod to remove water from that one meager spot. :) Of course, I could be wrong, but I see it typically in a lot of places on mine and other people's Fallout New Vegas. EvilDeadAsh34
It looks like something seems to be affecting the transparency of puddles. Have you tried de-activating other mods? I know you said you already unchecked bettergameperformancev4.esp but as an aside, in my experience BGPv4 interferes with Nevada Skies. I'd move it above Nevada Skies, it stopped causing me problems when i put it at the top of my load order. I know this may not affect your problem but it might solve other ones. Looking at your load order again... is it possible Fellout and Nevada Skies are conflicting? I thought they weren't supposed to be used together? I'd also try disabling one or both of those next. I know i may not be helping much but when i saw you mention BGPv4 i had to pass on my experience with it. Good luck. Out of curiosity. Your load order seems very random to me. Do you use BOSS to sort your mods? It just looks like you'd have a lot of problems with it ordered like that. Dan3345
I use to sort it myself but I got tired or resorting every single time I made a change, so I used boss. I am going to play around with it a bit.. I thought fellout and nevada skies were compatible as long as fellout was loaded first but I try that as well. Whoa! i just went to the spot you said had the problem and i had the same thing happen. I'm going to investigate this some more because i can actually see what youre talking about. The strange thing is the water shifts in texture. very weird. If i find anything else i'll let you know. Edit: i just deactivated all of my mods and the problem still exists. I'm going to go into GECK and look into this a little further. Edited July 28, 2011 by EvilDeadAsh34
Iv000
I had similar problems.Enable water refractions in the New Vegas launcher>Options. If it's enabled then I can't help. Edited July 28, 2011 by Iv000
Dan3345
Yeah its enabled. And evildead I am glad to see its happening to someone else.. I noticed similar texture issues since installing old world blues but they cleared up. Can we get more people to go there and look at the puddle? I have been seeing others complain about how old world blues messed up the vanilla textures and we may be onto something..

I had to disable all my mods to clear up my Old World Blues. Does anyone know where theres another small body of water like that? i checked a few places in GECK and the water is usually part of the land mass. not a seperate little water hole like whats near broc flower cave. Edit: nevermind i found out. Edited July 28, 2011 by EvilDeadAsh34

EvilDeadAsh34
Can you tell me, I want to check it out in my game as well. yeehaw! i think i figured it out. i'll explain as soon as im 100% sure. The other 2 places the water are is: 1. Around the back of "bradley's shack". Its up on a hill behind the shack.2. The other one is just east of "lone wolf radio" teleport there then run straight til you have to veer off to the right. it basically funnels you in the right direction. After you veer off to the right just continue straight and you'll run into it very soon. Just keep your eyes peeled they can be hard to see.
