Not again :( gfx errors and stuttering

Hello, once again im having problems with oblivion.

 

1st off i get gfx errors like this. Sorry for the big images i forgot to resize them before uploading hope its not a problem.

as you can see in the next screen it loaded in but takes anywhere from 2-30 seconds!

This is what the fighter guild in skingrad should look like when it decides to work properly.

But usually it looks like a low poly generic wall has been placed infront of the fighters guild (this happens on most buildings you can enter and even on the gates so it looks like your trapped.) It usually fixes itself but its a real pain/immersion breaker.

Another problem is the sky sometimes looks like this

Again if you look where the crosshair is, if i go to it and it doesnt load in i can actually fall straight through the floor. Sometimes it just wont load so again i have to exit the game and reload and then it will work/load in.

I had a thread not so long back reguarding this issue and thought i'd finally solved it, but as you can see it's still happening. Although at present im not getting any crashes, i still get really bad stuttering which can last anywhere from a few seconds to permenantly, then i have to quit out totally and re-load.

Im thinking its either my gfx card or my hdd not being fast enough to load the areas/building's because they eventually load in (the city in the pictures is skingrad), i have just bough a ati HD4890 1GB, so im hoping it does the trick. If not could it really be the HDD? ive done a speed test on it and heres the result.

I see some of the same behavior on my machine... and I AM running qarl's. :D I think the game just gets confused on which textures to use once in a while.

 

I think you have several different problems going on there...... the black sky may be related to having 3.0 shaders enabled or not, or, use of HDR. Might try swapping some settings, and see if it doesn't fix it.....

 

The last screenshot looks like a land tear...... any mods that affect that specific area? Or, does the anomaly go away as you get closer?

One thing you can try for the stuttering is download and install a file from Nexus called "OSR_4-1-23208" it is a plugin that helps calm down stuttering in Oblivion. had the problem on my old rig, not so much with new one. As for the other problem, looks like it might be conflicting mods. I have had the problem before and traced it to a mod that I forgot to put back in it's order after using the construction set on it. When crossing the foot bridge north of Leyawiin, ran into a big grey hole and no road.

 

One more note, if your rig takes more ram, install it while ram prices are low and if you dont have it already, switch to Windows 7 64 bit, then download a file from Nexus, can't remember the name, but it lets you edit the Oblivion.exe file and tell it to use more than 2 gigs of ram.
