Yshi
I don't know about you, but for maybe the first week I used the CD to play Morrowind before ripping an iso and making a small script to mount it and start the launcher. A few years later I discovered a cracked executable that skips checking for a disc, and there was rejoicing in the simplicity.

I need to do this, because I'm gonna be severely ticked if my disc gets scratched. >:( Is it against the rules to ask how? suzy
ub3rman123
ISOs are fine provided you don't distribute them, but cracks start to venture beyond the gray area, due to their association with piracy, how easy it is to hide a virus in one, and that some mods don't work with them. I prefer using an ISO of discs that I use constantly.

As for windows it's been YEEEAARS since I've used, but I think i remember Deamon Tools doing the job. Or maybe that was just to mount it. http://superuser.com...os-on-windows-7 looks like it has the answers you are looking for, aside from the rules part, which I'm not positive about.. Personally I usually back up all of my physical discs, regardless of rules. I payed for it, I want to make sure it stays in one piece.
