My characters won't use Weapons

I have created two characters since I started using the G.E.C.K. and have given them both weapons. And even though I set both their attitudes to agressive, they just run away with no weapons in hand instead of fighting with them.

 

The weapons that they are trying to use are custom weapons (only modified, not made from scratch). Could that have something to do with it?

Man, you should be proud to have created the last pacifist on wasteland :)

 

Now, talking seriously, have you give her skill at the desired weapon type?

how is the "confidence"?

Cowardly Will always avoid/flee. Cowardly actors NEVER engage in combat under any circumstances. - from GECK page

 

high aggression with low confidence makes the NPC/Creature always flee from everything or everyone approaching them.

It currently is set to brave when he ran away. I also don't understand why, when they have weapons, are set to agressive and brave, why they don't attack.

um, sorry, I ran out of ideas by the moment, I'll let you know if recall or think something causing that behavior which was not yet covered in the thread. Edited by nosisab

I had this problem when I made the NPCs have custom faction, but I didn't set their faction in relation to the enemies in the wasteland. Once I set them as seeing the wild animals as enemies, then they fought.

 

Although now I have the problem that they fight but won't use the weapons I gave them (yes, they have ammo and the skills, hell, I put both the ammo and the leveled list ammo so they should at least shoot something)
