BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
Building a new settlement and, for thematic reasons due to the location of the settlement, I would like to add a Vertibird that can be used to fast travel out of it. Edit: To be clear, I'm making a new settlement that is not in the vanilla game and I'd like to supply a vertibird at this settlement (because, thematically, it should have one) so the mod is not dependent upon another person's mod to to supply what should be there from the start. So, I've read through few threads and found some useful info, but at this point, I'm still stuck at getting the vertibird to give me a prompt to hit "E" for entry/mount. I've created a duplicate of the MQ101Vertibird and added what I believe are the correct scripts:hoveringvertibirdscriptvertibirdturretscript (made sure "can player activate" = "true", and the rest filled out according to vanilla BoS examples) Keywords:p-AttachGunnerap_AttachPilotCanUseFurnitureForCombatCutNavmeshWhenLandedFurnitureForce1stPersonhasPassengerMountsisVertibirdisVertibirdFastTravelNoAttackDogCrippleNoAttackDogHoldNoDisarmNoRicochetp-AttachCopilotp-AttachGunner Added AIPackages:REVertibirdLandPackageIgnoreCombatVertibirdLandedPackage Anything else needing to be added to the map?Am I missing a reflink or "linked From"?Allow for my character to use it? (have affiliated with no factions yet in the character used to test the mod, fresh out of Vault 111)I don't believe a quest would be needed, as It's stationary and not being called in from somewhere else or being made to act as a companion...but maybe I'm wrong?Am I missing that I need to create a custom pilot?Should I have used the LvlVertibird instead?Etc.? Anywho, I'd appreciate the help.Thank you. P.S. I do suppose I could just make it static, and one could role-play that they *assume* they are using it to travel from the location...but that's kinda lame. =/
zc123
There are already several mods that enable you to create and place vertibirds that can be used for fast travel. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12135/? has a usable version for each of the factions _(only difference is how the pilot is dressed)_ and even has a version with AI vertibirds that will follow you around while outside shooting at stuff. It also has a version that can be created at settlements which then takes off and perpetually flies circles around said settlement shooting at stuff. Also none of these virtibirds are the cheapo vanilla ones that blow up when you sneeze in their general direction.
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
Yeah, I've seen them (and tried to deconstruct them, heh). However, I'm just not that into relying upon someone else's mod to fill out the functionality of my own mod. So, I'd rather add this created settlement's own in....and if someone wants them in their other settlements, they can feel free to use those mods also, and we'll just call this one icing....a nice freebie. =)
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
Woo, got it. ;-)(mostly anyway...companions won't get in...but we'll fix that later, heh) Missing 2 scripts (totally lame mistake on my part, too =/ ) :VertibirdCrashScriptVertibirdMobilityScript But anyways, as long as it's working (and this thread might help anyone else do it...unless I forgot to write down a step, ugh)
KataPUMB
Quite better and for avoiding conflicts bugs and problems is better just to duplicate VFT quest and change the called vertibirds for your own one, then just copy all the stages of the scene except for the combat ones and you can even call it from the settlement to come to you. EDIT: because i understand that you want the VBird just for that ride and nothing more so is better to spawn one and then just disable him Edited May 21, 2016 by KataPUMB
