usaf9211
I have a settlement outside the border but none of the NPCs can move. Is there a way to navmesh by region that doesn't just make the CK crash?
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
Are you doing:Ctrl-E>Navmesh Menu>Generation>Recast-Based Generationor Advanced or something else entirely?Crashes CK (to desktop or pops up "Blah has stopped working. Close?") or makes it hang for a long long time (long enough to think it's crashed)? All of the navmesh stuff can be seriously resource intensive, so sometimes I have to walk away, go make a sandwich, walk the dog, etc, before it's finished. =P
usaf9211
Well when it doesn't crash, it just basically fills in a whole quadrant including objects/water. Is this normal for exteriors and I'd just have to delete the unwanted areas? I'm pretty sure I did recast. Should I try advanced?
Tankiki
I was testing some crude navmeshing outside of default borders but within my new set border limits on a bunch of feral ghouls. Their initial entrance into the cell or animation seems to glitch them to that spot. However I lobbed a molotov at them and they suddenly had the ability to move, albeit a little clunky in the badly generated navmesh but they could move. I think it might have something to do with the generated navmesh sometimes going under the terrain or their inability to attack me when I proc their aggro while I'm standing on a unnaved area.
