Akon2009
NCR has far more settlements in the Mojave so you will generally have a bit easier walking if you side with them. They also have longer quests so you will have more to do (for good or bad). You will also recieve neat bonuses such as NCR emergency radio, this has the option to give you quite the firepower which allows you to rely on non-combat skills a bit more. This however pretty much hinders you from acquiring the Veteran ranger combat armor (cover armor) which is a bummer. Siding with legion gives you a bit more income due to Ceasars Favour quest. Neither have a perfect ending. As for a filosophical view it is arguable which side is better, if you want there is a topic where this is thoroughly discussed, pm me and I'll tell you. Grandchamp1989
Voted Legion... But While I like the concept and general idea of legion they're very underplayed/underwhelming in NW. I respect their direct approach while not political correct. They don't hide who they are or mask it up, the Bull is pure natural strength! When it comes to the execution of this concept however it's VERY hard to like legion..  - They get an unimportant little part of the map, and most of these don't respawn once you kill'em off.. - All the vendors of value reside in NCR territory- Most of their forces are knife wielding jokes and they DON'T make up for by having superior numbers - They're no more than target practice. - This faction got the least quests I think it's like a 7:40 ratio favouring NCR- You can't participate in all the fun stuff like slavering and Legion raiding parties- Veteran rangers have a strong presence in the Mojave and make an absoulute joke out of Centurions (lol there's just 1) and Praetorions (Ever watched NPC wars with these match ups? lol)- Legion makes a mockery out of you, the Courier. Saying you belong on a cross and INSIST on calling you a profligate even when you try to help them. Making it VERY hard not just to stab them right then and there. - Unlike Oliver you're able to take Caesar's head as a souvenir, which is quite tempting.  In conclusion I like the CONCEPT of legion but despise the execution of which Obsidian made legion. Tranquillus
The massive imbalance in the number of quests aside, given how cartoonishly evil the Legion is rendered, it's hard to side with them, unless roleplaying an evil bastard. But generally I think the NCR has the right idea. Sure, they may not be perfect, but they're the only ones who even pretend to aspire to democratic ideals. That means a lot. I realise that they're kinda imperialist in outlook (no other way to interpret their presence in the Mojave), but theirs is a kind of benevolent imperialism. At worst, they're ineffectual, but better ineffectual than brutally oppressive. The Legion as presented in FNV is a marauding horde, they don't stand a long term chance. And unlike the real Romans, they seem real insistent on forcibly assimilating former allies, so they can't rely on attracting many new allies, either. Without Caesar or another strong figure at their head they will disintegrate in no time. Even if they don't their anti-tech philosophy is flawed. marharth
Ceaser doesn't want new allies, its impossible to be a ally with the Legion. They will either enslave your entire group through trickery or go to war with you. My huge issue with the legion is the way Obsidian portrayed them. Seems like they wanted you to side with Mr. House or the NCR.
ModelV
None. Why couldnt you make this a vote for all the factions you can side with?(Mr. House, NCR, Legion, or independent.) Â If i had to choose between one or the other id choose the Legion because the NCR just acts like they wouldnt slaughter tons of people just like the Legion and actually worse then the Legion as the Legion tries to take prisoners. Â But my real choice is Mr. House.

I would like to have seen more about the Legion in game rather than this vague Imperial force acrossed the river you meet a few times and dont have much details with the none militia branchs of. But from what the game provides, I have to go with NCR.
Borsek
I like to kill legion people and side with NCR... is the vote about who you like to brutally murder or who you cuddle with at night, when it's cold and the corpses of your enemies grow cold so you can't cuddle with them anymore? stratogroove
NCR. Why? They beat the Legion once, the Brotherhood, the Khans, Jackals, Vipers, and finished off the Enclave in the west.
