  1. Hi guys I don't know about you, but I got 30 something settlements, most of these got brahmins and produce fertilizers. I got 1200 fertilizers just sitting there and 600 plastic. I don't use either these materials for much, except making jets to earn a quick buck when I go shopping.... The problem is, you can only make a single yet at a time... And I really can't be asked to sit there and press E 600 something times... Do you guys know of a mod (or can tweak things with a mod) so that you can produce 10 and 50 at a time? Much <3
  2. Thank you guys for your great answers. You have some very good points. While you could make an argument about worshipping Boethiah and maybe Molag Bal, they just doesn't fit nicely on a diehard Brotherhood assassin. Back to worshipping Sithis. We really do need a Sithis Shrine like they had in dimhollow crybt in Oblivion. Assassins gets sick too, and need to pray to the dread father before a kill. (Gotta love roleplaying).
  3. Hi Everybody  I have a question regarding the lore of The Elder Scrolls Skyrim - specifically about the difference between Mephala and Boethiah. On my current playthrough I'm playing as an argonian assassin. I've completed The Dark Brotherhood questline and I'm currently The Listener. The Dark Brotherhood follow the teachings and guidence og Sithis and his wife The Nightmother. However, if (as a DB assassin) you'd want to pledge your faith to a Daedra things suddenly gets tricky. There's a conspiracy theory about The Night Mother really being Mephala in disguise. if you look at what she represent there's good reason for this. She represent: "Mephala is a Daedric Prince whose sphere is obscured to mortals, also known by the names Webspinner, Spinner, Spider, and the Anticipation of Vivec." Mephala helped forming the assasination group og Morag Tong from which the Dark brotherhood sprung to life as an alternate assasination group who revered The Night Mother instead of Mephala. You could make an argument for Mephala being the Daedra closest to The Dark Brotherhood... Until you read about Boethiah: "Boethiah (also spelled Boethia) is the Daedric Prince who rules over deceit, conspiracy, secret plots of murder, assassination, treason, and unlawful overthrow of authority.[1] Boethiah is also known as the Prince of Plots,[2][3] Deceiver of Nations, Queen of Shadows, and Goddess of Destruction." Daedra of both assasination, plots and queen of shadows. Boethiah too sounds like a proper candidate for a faithful assassin to worship! Then I started to think.. What if I started doing the Dawnguard questline and sided as a Vampire Lord. Then Molag Bal would likely be the best candidate for worship. he represent: "Molag Bal is the Daedric Prince whose sphere is the domination and enslavement of mortals. He is known as the King of Rape[1] and the Harvester of Souls" He is a real nasty piece of work. Truely evil (My character likes evil) and the creator of the first vampires! Harkon himself got a shrine of Molag Bal in his castle. But then you learn that Molag Bal and Boethiah are arch enemies so it's a question of picking either one.. Feedback is much appreciated. Please don't give me an answer like "ignore the Daedra's, live on your own terms". I'm curious as to which Daedra seems like the best candiate lorewise.
  4. Destruction is by far the weakest. Bow/Melee: With Enchantment 100 + extra effect, Smithing 100 + improved weapons, alchemy 100 + fortify enchant and smithing = outragious damage with bows and melee weapons. 500+ damage atleast Conjuration: 2 dremora lords can pretty much solo anything, even battle dragons straight on. Illusion: Calm spells and invisibility/muffle is amazingly good for a sneak char Alteration: Paralyse and dragonskin = roflstomp Destruction on master difficulty is an absolute joke even with incinerate being spammed........... I would advice people to ignore it if possible. :(
  5. There is no arguing about tastes but I'd like to point out that fairy tales are not just about good things and that originally fairy tales weren't meant for children. There are horrific elements in many fairy tales. All good points. The thing is, I'm not saying that it looks like someone dropped a nuke on Skyrim, I'm saying that the feel of the place is like if someone HAD done it. You could make the point that it doesn't feel post-apocalypic, it feels like a country at war. But then I would make the counter-argument and say that none of the wars ever really touched Skyrim before you arrive. Great War never happened in Skyrim The Dragon threat only happens as you begin the game The Civil war - there was minor conflicts, sure but the full scale war happens LATER as you proceed with the story - If you so chooses, otherwise it remains at a stand still. Everything is in shambles and it's not because of war, then why is it everything feels so post-apocalyptic? I think they went for the Fallout feel because that's what Beth is becoming good at, but there's no real reason to do it to such an extent with Skyrim - IMO ;)
  6. The dragon threat happens JUST as you start the game and the civil war never broke out into a full scale war with cities being besigned and attacked (It does later as you proceed with the story though). Now add to that the fact that the Great War with the thalmor never happened IN skyrim and the last dragon threat happened thousands of years ago. All of this together point to the fact that there's NO REASON for the Jarls not having maintained the roads, rebuild the cities and re-construct the walls in what looks like centuries! Also, EVERY faction is in RUIN! close to extinction. You mean to tell me that not a single faction have found a way to benefit from the war? ESPECIALLY the thieves guild, lol. It just becomes monotone, really. Sure you can make a case for the people of skyrim living a hard life and that's why they're depressed and angry but that's no excuse to not give them a personality and add character development. Beth went for that post-apocalyptic feel and ran with it. Everything is in ruin everyone is suffering, people re-build civilizations on-top of extinct ones (Dwemer - Markarth) but fail to maintain it throughout. I just think it's at times is a tad bit risky with Fallout 4 coming up next. (Opinion)
  7. And are you a fan of Fallout, or Beth Fallout? Yes, also controversial. It alwas falls to me to brag about the good old days, weird  At least for ME and DA you can't really blame them... for those who are owned by EA are but a nameless slaves controlled by their evil masters... *cough* At least they still have decent story writters. Or actually, great story writers. I, personally, still can't decide whether I really love or hate Skyrim. It has so much coolness combined with so terrible feats. Jewel there is the UI. Why? Because it would take their team like a one day to come up with decent UI, but they didn't. Then the super-short and skipping storylines... Bah. Perks would be nice, if they haven't removed everything else related to character development. What I prolly mind the most, and is very un-fallout-ish is the absolute illusion of choice when there is none. All dialogue options lead to one answer and no mater what action you take, the conclusion will always be the same at the end. Truth tho, most of the walls, roads... looks like noone really tryied to repair them ever since they were build. LOL! I'm on the edge too. I got a love-hate relationship with Skyrim. Like with Dragon Age 2 they certaintly polished the combat system to near perfection but with Skyrim, it seems to be at the cost of a cliché monotone storyline. Character development in none existent, UI is a mess on PC, bugs and glitches messed my game up for a good month and the storyline(s) left a lot to be desired. It wouldn't be so bad if they at SOME point differed from the whole ''everything is depressing and everything is in ruin I miss the glorydays buhuuu''. I may be weird in this regard but personly I don't care about choices in my Elder Scrolls game. Freedom to do what I will, sure but storyline choices I don't care for. What I desire in an Elder Scroll game is epicness. Being taken through an epic story and the world around me recognizing my deeds and valor. Elder Scrolls is like this fairytale game I can realize, yes. But Skyrim was more of an horror story.
  8. Awkward lines? Definitely this one: After becoming headmaster of The Companions the guards still say: ''So, you're with the companions.... You what... Fetch the mead?'' NO, Dammit. I'm the <Insert curseword> Leader! Yet still I have to take trivial jobs from LOWER RANKING companions and kill stupid Bears while they sit on their ass, drinking mead. :/ Note: Yes I know there's no rankings in The Companions but indirectly there is and you take the main role in The Companions after you help ''what his face Gray Mane'' with not being a werewolf anymore.
  9. My intentions are not to offend anyone. I simply made some observation that the two franchises are becoming amazingly similar in many way. All backed by fair arguments I would say. Now that I think of it, you could draw a lot of similarities to the Mass Effect - Dragon Age franchises and how they ended up. (Last sentence very controversial, I know ;) ) I'm a fan of both The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises so when I say the feel of the games remind me of each other that not necesarily just a bad thing, I very much welcome the Perk addition. I just don't get why they went that rout when we just played two post-apocalyptic inspired games and Fallout 4 being next. And as I pointed out they didn't NEED to make everything look so ruined. But all aside it's still a great game I've sunked 100s of hour into ;)
  10. The ending does indeed feel rushed. I didn't really think it ended when it did, and was surprised nobody had anything to say about the fact that I just saved the world from certain death and destruction! I even went to Whiterun and the Jarl had nothing to say to me. No thank you, no reward... Instead a guard told me to keep my hands to myself, and then called me a ''sneak thief'' :/ A bit anti climatic. Overall game is good but a rushed ending indeed.
  11. an Elder Scrolls game. And here's my reasons for saying this: Note: Keep in mind that english is'nt my first language, and that these are my observations and may differ from your own ;) Now Enjoy. EVERYTHING is in shambles: Every city in the game is torn either from constant wars or neglect. The outer walls are crumpling and in decay (like found in Whiterun). And Cities are often build upon and around older extinct civilizations (like Markarth on top of the extinct Dwemer city) To further add to this observation, half of the city of Winterhold got destroyed, due to a destructive force of nature, which left half of the city in ruin. And Windhelm is a freezing hell hole where close to nothing can grow properly. EVERY faction is struggling and a shadow of their former self: Mages Guild: Destroyed and extict Blades: Almost hunted into extinction Compansions: Keep talking about the glory days with Ysgramor and live in the pass, hunted by Werewolf hunters. Winterhold College: Haven't been the same since Winterhold got torn in half and they got blamed for it. The Dark Brotherhood: Struggling and close to extinction, even left their morals/Teneth's to survive. Thieves Guild: Again.... Struggling. Keep talking about the glory days but now struggle for survival. The Mood of the game: Beside the fact that everything is gray and freezing cold there's no uplifting/happy characters who stand out beside the clearly insane like ''Cicero'' and ''Sheogorath''. A dude in Whiterun even makes notice of this when he says that ''The problem with skyrim is that everyone is obsessed with death'' Perks Added: Fallout feature right here, I for one welcome the addition though. In closing: Everything about Skyrim feels post apocalyptic. EVERYTHING is in shambles and the whole tone the game reeks of depression and death with very, very few exceptions. In many ways a lot similar to Fallout, but without the dark not-too-serioues humour of that franchise. Sure Skyrim is facing civil war but all of this is relatively RECENT, and the full scale of that war only really shows when YOU proceed with the story. The war with The Thalmor never directly happened IN skyrim although Nords fought in Cyradiil for the empire to re-take the Imperial City. This is another reason as to why Skyrim shouldn't look so bleak and destroyed. The last Dragon War is also thousand of years in the past. While the scenery of ruins and decay certaintly adds to the serious tone of the game it can also be a bit too much at times, especially when we just played two post-apocalyptic games prior to Skryim (Fallout 3 and New Vegas). I Digress for now - What do you guys think about Elder Scrolls taking a page out of Fallout Univserse: Is it for the better or not?
  12. Agreed. It's very grim, dark and everything is in rubbles or decaying. There's no lively people and everyone is talking about how every faction used to be great (Winterhold, The Blades, Thieves Guild, Companions etc) but now are a shadow of their former self. The main stories (Civil War & Dragon threat) are underwhelming to me and you never feel like an epic hero like ''The Champion of Cyradiil''. They really went for the ''realistic'' depressed country in a civil war look and it's a tad bit too grim and underwhelming for my liking.
  13. A couple of weeks? :( Awwww Well, thanks anyway.
  14. Greetings modding community. I'm wondering if anyone is working on a castle or tower.. Maybe a secluded mansion as a playerhome? I don't know about you guys, but both The Empire and The Stormcloaks are a-holes in my book and I don't like being their puppet, living in an average house being THEIR Thane. Even The Blades demand who and what I should kill now, even friends. WTF? We're the Dragonborn! We deserve better, atleast a castle, Wizard Tower or Mansion on top of a cliff! I see a lot of files but no playerhomes yet, anyone working on this? Please let me know, this is desperately needed IMO.
  15. I've been looking for this aswell. you could read scattered notes proberly and sort'em yourself or in alphabetic order.
  16. Only reason not to buy on release is all the pesky bugs and glitches. Lets just hope they don't pull an NW on release.
  17. readable in-game comic-books & papers would be quite decent I think. Funny stories fact etc on what's happening outside the borders of NW.
  18. Survivalist Rifle with GRA JHP rounds. I'm around 120+ damage pr. shot with that gun. Semi automatic with 10 rounds - hard to beat. DPS is around 500+ pretty darn crazy. Christine's Sniper rifle with custom ammo. Excellent critical hit multiplier, silent and good dmg. GRA fully modded AMR - Supressor with custom GRA explosives ammo. get a sneak attack with better criticals and whatever you hit doesn't exist anymore. These are my favourites so far.
  19. Once you finish the game there's a few straglers and generic NPC's but the tribes gives you no reason to return. No named NPC's, no vendors, no dialogue or anything. The only reason to return is if you haven't found the survivalist chache's and read the survivalist story - maybe grab a few cave fungus on your way out. Lost opportunity here in my book.
  20. ''Then, I put it in the fridge, so it would get cold, a rare luxury in the Wastelands. Cold. Cold created by the fridge. The fridge that two men brought into the office building. The fridge that I put my precious package in. Then I did some paperwork. And played Minesweeper. And took a nap. And ate a sandwich. And then, I went to the fridge.'' This is SUCH a great example on why ulysses dialogue was such a pain despite the fact that I REALLY wanted to learn the truth. This drawn out sentence, where he talk in circles with all this useless information spoken.... in..... such... a.... slow.... manner. Kudos ;)
  21. Dead Money was by far one of the better DLC's. Great character development, great story, a villian who had a main role in the Mojave (Link to the base game) excellent companions and the mood of the the game was spot on if a tad generic. It had some fundamental flaws though. while I can appreciate the survival aspect of the DLC they changed fundamental things like not being able to use beds, no wait feature and a lot of trial and error. This makes for a frustrating experience the first and possibly 2nd time playing it. In regards to content this DLC provides quite a lot. Everything from completing the main story, find all the holodisk recipes and Dean's Stach's to name a few. Compared with the few fetch quests and dull underdeveloped tribes of Honest Heart this is a steal.
  22. If we are talking a proper legion companion wouldn't an experienced frumentarii be the way to go? I'm thinking for these reasons: 1. Frumentarii agents are allowed a more fluent (for lack of a better word) way of thinking. This way they can adapt to any situation deep behind enemy lines, they also require a good understanding on the enemy's tactics, culture and psyche 2. The Frumentariii would allow for a legion companion to simply not get shot on sight when in NCR territory (which lets face it is 90% of the map) Since they blend in. 3. an experienced Frumentarii will (like a courier) have seen both the negative things in NCR and the positive sides of legion homeland. Possibly have family at home? 4. It would open up to more quests on sabotage and assassinations if implemented properly - a good script could work with this. There's more but this is what I could brainstorm in a minute :)
  23. If you're up to the challenge and got an idea for a proper Legion Companion with companion wheel, voiced dialogue, side quests etc.. I know the community would be very grateful. I would atleast. Not saying it had to be extreme like Willow - which overshadowed the vanilla companions in how great it was. Just something respectable to a suffering legion :) Oh, and make sure he don't like you if you're vilified by Legion - Just like Boone, except the other way around ;) You have my support in this!
  24. That's another EXCELLENT argument, and one I added to my first post. I like the idea. Maybe even give us Vulpes Inculta? or one of their Frumentarii's to help out, they're undercover agents and would be able to blend in everywhere. If you become liked by NCR you get an emergency radio to either get an NCR ranger or Trooper companion! This will stack with your other two companions lol. Add to that the fact that you can recruit a former 1st recon sniper (Boone) and you got youself a pretty effective NCR killing team. What's the legion equivalent to this again? that's right... There is none. Lazy execution Obsidian!
