Yeah I've never agreed with the whole "modders could have made this for free" thought process. An official DLC released by a real video game company will almost always work better than something made someone working alone. I haven't released much of what I've made (usually because someone else has usually made it first, and made it better). But I do see a lot of comments on other people's mods that would make me angry. Like the unofficial patch mod has so many ridiculous comments, especially on beth.net. Same with Homemaker on here. People asking Arthmoor (the author of unofficial patch, but he doesn't work alone) to do all kinds of things with his mod that his mod was never intended to cover, he isn't Jesus guys.

In my opinion, the ideal solution would be to make everyone read the full description on the mod's page before they can comment. That would eliminate A LOT of stupid questions, and if a mod author doesn't provide adequate info, they'll get stupid questions again. But doing that would obviously be just as difficult as enforcing pc/console, as mentioned above. So for now, there's nothing we can do really :/

This site does not provide console support.

Hmm, that is something that for the longest time would get threads shut down.

Cause of console modding before now being illegitimate...Wonder what the stance will be moving forward according to Nexus Guidelines and TOS?

To refer them to the bethesda site

The easiest answer is simply to keep the Nexus PC-only because there is no way for the Nexus to interact with the Bethesda.Net system (and in turn consoles), because, well, Bethesda doesn't want it that way. Microsoft / Sony are both taking a "gamble" in even supporting Bethesda-style modding in such a way and they would pretty much never "open the gates" to an entity like the Nexus.

I swear...this site should be for the PC Master Race...the low-intelligence console thugs should just stay at Bethesda.net. But my opinion is not going to change anything...

Preach on brotha....What I've seen is that the whiny demanding console kiddies on Beth.net and some odd entitlement going on...

Somehow, console thugs need to be pleasantly ushered (we don't want to hurt their feelings...no, that would be unconstitutional!) off here and directly to Bethesda.net. And they need to WANT to stay over there. Keep off our lawn.
