Hi everyone.

Is anyone aware of a good tool for cleaning plugins on morrowind???,Tried out testool and that litteraly destroyed my game.

Mlox suggested to use it,After i hit fix it i got lot's of errors and couldn't even get out of the ships cabin at the beginning before it crashed on me.

Ha ha and afterwards Mlox told me that testool was defenitely not reccomended at all, Geeez Thank's a lot.

<snip>

You could try tes3cmd (a command line tool)

No. That's not accurate.

Using Just Fix It! is these days universally seen as being Not A Good Thing to do. One of the things it does is to generate a Merged Dialogs plugin. mlox will display a warning if that plugin is in your mod list as it breaks quests and causes all sorts of problems. As you've discovered.

Warning, the merged dialogs feature of TESTOOL is widely considered to be broken, it will cause some mods to stop working, and it is recommended you do not use it.

Using TESTool to clean plugins is mentioned for some, mainly older, entries in the mlox rule-base. I keep on meaning to go through and remove any mention of particular tools.

There are some (rare) cases where TESTool can be excessive in its cleaning, if you want to err on the side of caution then make sure Restricted Dialog Cleaning and Restricted Cell Cleaning are both enabled.

Thanks for the reply.

Well i'm still quite noobish when it comes to modding Morrowind (A bit different Just saying)

Yes already found out how outdated it is and a lot of the most recent versions of the mods requires a bit of googling.

Probably shouldn't have pressed fix it without knowing more about it, First Mlox told me to get the MCP and the Unofficial patch (Good useful information there) , Then it told me where to get the most updated mods (Nice nice) , Then it told me that Wyrmhaven had to be cleaned and Testool would be useful.After i pressed fix it and ran Mlox again there were a lot of red error messages + It suddenly told me that using Testool were not reccommended That's it Also my fault.

Abandoned Morrowind and now playing Arktwend Simply an Amazing overhaul,It's not only sausages those germans are good at :tongue:
