nosisab
have you Shivering Isles and got out there by "non conventional" way, maybe? Oblivion set a few variables telling where the player is... if it "thinks" you are in SI yet, all the NPCs will lose their greetings. Solving this issue is simple, just reenter SI and come back again using the portal (if is that the issue's cause, of course). NocturneNight
I had this problem aswell, but I have never been to SI...restarting the computer helped in my case which is wierd. ;P
nosisab
I see I misunderstood the problem, mean NPCs you create? if so you should provide a bit more information like their race (vanilla or user created), faction etc, whatever you think can help understand the problem. Telling how you are setting the dialogs may help too. Edit: Don't try to change generic greetings, create all your specifics even if they are meant to be generic. At this point the mod may be dirty already and you should clean it before continuing. You can change dialogs priorities so that certain lines get precedence in determined situations. This is a sensible topic which can have dare consequences if less than flawless implemented. Edited August 3, 2011 by nosisab
doubleclick123
Well just saying, even the npcs that i DIDNT create have no greeting specifically... And almost all my npcs are in no faction yet they still have no greeting. I have a few user made meshes and textures but the only mod i have right now is mine. (And just saying while typing this i got a notification that says one of my scripts are not compiled... just saying..." And i donot have SI at all.... Anyway, I have only a guard faction, ID: FghGlendroyGuardFactionAnd two creature factions... I remember i had aproblem once though, i gave a person an "anvil" head... But i deleted that. EDIT: They are only the same races with diffirent names. Edited August 3, 2011 by doubleclick123
fore
In your case I would use TES4Edit and compare your mod with oblivion.esm. Especially have a look for changes to the "Generic" quest. Because every NPC get's his minimum Greetings from there. And look in CS, Quest Data for "Generic". There should only be 3 quest conditions:getPlayerIsInSEWorld = 0getIsPlayablerace = 1getInFaction ForgottenOnesFaction = 0 oh YES; should compile your script pronto. Do you think Oblivion can handle uncompiled scripts? ;)
doubleclick123
Thanks fore, the "generic" quest has all of those conditions but not the first one... I cannot add it either... Right now im downloading tes4edit, thanks
fore
doubleclick, you are not using the newest version ov Oblivion. getPlayerIsInSEWorld was added with CS 1.2. This is BTW the check for Shivering Isles the other guy was talking about. And have you recompiled your scripts and tested again?
