Delikatessen
@Lizarrdo: It's not a matter of Minecraft (I hate Minecraft), it's a matter of suing them over a word. A word that's existed since Early or Middle English. You know, "Maketh" instead of "Make", "Thy" and "Thee" instead of "Your" and "You", respectively. It's a really stupid excuse to get money. EvilDeadAsh34
I love Bethesda, i really do, but this is something that will stop me from buying their games until they back off. Suing a company over the use of *one word* that happens to be in in the title of one of their game series is seriously pathetic. On top of that they're demanding money up front too! Wow, honestly i can't believe they're being so stupid and heavy-handed. Next thing you know they'll be suing companies that put elves and horses or _insert mythical beast here_ in their games. Idiots. *puts on tin-foil hat* Maybe it's just a cover because they're going to delay Skyrim... just sayin'.
Deleted1848331User
I can see the problem around this, but it won't stop me from buying their games. I could care less who wins, really *shrugs*
PR0JAX
Wow. I just watched a 'dual interview' of sorts between Notch and Todd and they seemed to get along pretty well. This has to put a damper on things...
NikhilR
Indeed, Beth's slowly denigrating into a bunch of greedy psycho's. All that ice and snow of skyrim seems to have frozen their brain cells. You know if Notch wins, he can sue beth for damages and skyrim will be set for 12.12.12 release instead! Hurray to sounding the death knell for the entire series! Edited August 8, 2011 by NikhilR
Rational314
There is a big difference between threatening legal action, and suing a company. As Zenimax\Bethesda has not taken Mojang to court yet the title of this thread is very misleading.
MrDeathKill
haha, yeah i can see the concern too.. it is like that in business, and I'm sure that Notch wants to use that name for that exact reason, and they're right. Bethesda too, although it all tends to get a bit childish every once in a while.. but most of the gamers do know exactly which game is which, so there won't be any real problem for Bethesda. I'm still buying Rage, that's for sure.
fettsmonkey
because scrolls are and have always been exclusively bethesda property, since time immemorial.
