My goodness, all of this is making me feel like they really ARE making a movie!!! It would be so incredible... but one of the main reasons why Dragon age is so popular is because of the options, and let's face it, anything fantasy ALWAYS has some goody-two-shoes male Human knight as the lead character..... And please, Claudia Black as Morrigan! She really looks like her, not ot mention being the originial voice actor!

Yes, you're quite right about that... not to mention that the different main quests for the treaties would become horrible montages to save time - half the fun (oh well, 75%) in DA:O is the dialogue. You don't want to watch a movie where they talk, talk, talk, fight, talk, talk and talk.

Which Origin would you Chose? Which side would you pick with the Dwarves? Or with on the Nature of the Beast? Or the Broken Circle?

I would go with;

Human Noble (Female)

Side with Bhelen

Force Zathrian to end the curse

Side with Mages

Additionally;

Have Alistair kill Loghain when he surrenders

Make Alistair king and have the Warden marry him

Accept Morrigan's Ritual

Get along with companions

It's just how I think on the matter..

If it were up to me... I'd do the following:

Daylen Amell - Mage Warden with Arcane Warrior specialty. His favourite weapon is a Greatsword and wear Heavy Warden armor (DA2 style) for the first half of the film. Then switch to the Massive Warden commander armor (DA2 Legacy style) right on the Final Battle. He will be using both physical swordplay slashes combined with explosive spells that protects his companions at the same time.

  • Meeting his cousin Hawke in Lothering (male mage/apostate).
  • Siding with King Bhelen, and preserving Anvil of the Void.
  • Curing the Werewolves of the Brecillian Forest.
  • Siding with the Mages.
  • Saving Arl Eamon as well as his wife and connor survived.
  • Landsmeet won closely with 50:50 ratio but up to one noble which sides with the grey wardens for dramatic purposes.
  • Undertake the secret companion to the joining, and Alistair leaves the party but his hardened personality promised to be King and marry anora.
  • Warden romances both Morrigan and Leliana but choose a hardened Leliana. She then agrees about the ritual that need to be done and the Warden do the ritual with Morrigan.
  • In the final battle however, where the Warden was knocked down and almost killed by a Hurlock General, Alistair swoops in to save the day (despite his claims that swooping is bad). In the end, there's three grey wardens fighting side by side in Denerim. So there's Warden, Secret Companion, Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana on top of Fort Drakon.
  • In the end, The warden slays the Archdemon with a flying greatsword thrust (he's a mage so he can jump unnaturally very high) to the neck, and additionally he shoots a blast of mana from his body through the sword and explodes in the Archdemon's neck blowing its head off with an epic explosion. Everyone else was protected by the explosion from his magic. You can see the essence of the Archdemon flying and going through Morrigan's stomach but didn't come out, and Morrigan turns to an eagle and flies away. The Warden walks out of the burning Archdemon unscathed.
  • The boon chosen was to gain Loghain's land and the Amell warden becomes the new Teyrn of Gwaren. That means there are two Amells noble houses exist. One in Gwaren in Ferelden where the Warden is, and the other is in Kirkwall (or whatever's left of the noble house there)
  • The movie ends with Alistair's coronation and marriage to Anora, and the Hero of Ferelden is hailed through a massive celebration through the streets of Denerim and then credits roll.
  • Post-credits scene plays with "5 months earlier" as Hawke is running away from the Darkspawn overrunning Lothering with his family. He meets with Aveline and fights their way through until a dragon appears and as it shapeshift to a familiar form. Flemeth standing before them saying "Well well, what have we here?" (camera only shows her back starting from her legs and move up to her DA2 designed head.

As for the cast, I agree with some of the choices here:

  • The Warden (Daylen Amell) = Chris Hemsworth... (I'm an actor too, so if I'm cast as the Warden is definitely an Honor. Hahahaahah)
  • Alistair = Ryan Reynolds or Scott Speedman
  • Morrigan = Eva Green
  • Leliana = Kate Backinsale
  • Wynne = Helen Mirren
  • Zevran = Orlando Bloom
  • Oghren = John Rhys-Davies
  • Sten = Jason Momoa with prosthetic make up. (make him look like DA2 Hornless Qunari)
  • Shale = CGI with the original voice actor.
  • King Cailan = Jonathan Rhys Meyers or Jake Gyllenhall (if Alistair were Scott Speedman)
  • Arl Rendon Howe = Tim Curry
  • Duncan = Sean Bean or Liam Neeson.
  • First Enchanter Irving = Ian McKellen
  • Anora = Gwyneth Paltrow
  • Loghain = Craig Parker (Darken Rahl from Legend of the Seeker)
  • Hawke = Viggo Mortensen

I like your ideas... but the Chantry might murder you for being a mage and a Teyrn. lol
